I have a friend who is having trouble with his plant. He is using a 150wat agrosun light. He is growing in a miracle gro organic soil mixture and has a fan blowing fresh air towards the little guy. On top of all this he is using a Osmocote indoor/outdoor plant food. It's the kind where you add a given amount every 4 months. The plant is sitting about 8 inches away from the bulb itself and the leaves are brownish/yellow and starting to dry up and curl. What should he do?? Anyone out there willing to help out a first timer save his first attempt?

Stop fertilizing it, and toss away that fert. Give it lots and lots of just water - flush it. Get it a lot closer to the light, and pray.

Hey man thanks for the reply, I was beginning to think no one was going to help out. How much water should we flush it out with. We are currently placing the light at a distance of 11 inches away. Is that good, or should it be closer. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated, we sure could use it as you can tell.
Peace,

How much water should we flush it out with. :
At least 3 times the volume of the container. Put it in the tub and gently pour ROOM TEMPERATURE water through the dirt.

Sorry I havent checked this in a bit, I figured since I didnt get a reply within a day then its probably too late. Heres what he did.
Repoted the plant and added 2 tsp of mexican bat guano to the fresh soil. He waters it using a spray bottle to the soil and foliage, as well as pouring a little water in the tray. For the past two days he has been watering the plant with a little bit of guano in the water. Foiliage as well. I would say it is 1 or a 1/2 gallon pot. So should he flush it out with 3 1/2 - 4 gallons of water in one watering? and for how long?
Peace.
