Salvia troubles

I would consider myself a seasoned stoner, and I've tried salvia extract a few times. I hear glowing praise and cautioned words, and yet, despite smoking two bowls of 10x, holding it in for 30 seconds with a butane torch, the most I got was some stupid blinky feeling. No divine interference, no room shaking hallucinations, nothing. Every time I smoke, I go in open minded, relaxed and optimistic, but nothing. Not even with 20x. And this is standardized extract, so it's not BS. Help, anyone?

I know for a fact not everybody gets... Salvia'd? lol not everyone feels it their first couple times, some people need weed to feel it, you should try that.
Everybodies chemical make-up is different. Maybe you're immune?

It takes me only a small hit to get me fucked but a big hit and ill lose any memory of what even happened

My dealerfriend and I tried 40x extract. He was rolling on my bedroom floor in 5 minutes' time, and I was sitting there going "this is lame as hell, I feel nothing". I am a salvia hardhead :(

My mini bong (that my sister stole without my permission :\) worked exceedingly well with the 5x. I guess I'm spoiled in the fact that I inhale better and more when the smoke is cooled. She returned it, so I'mma try tonight and see.

I know everybody says you need a bong or bubbler, but I smoked 10x out of a metal pipe and it still worked fine for me.

First off, never, ever, ever, make a salvia joint. salvinorin A. is the active main chemical, and you need temps of atleast 240C to release it. Use a torch lighter if you can or a just a regular lighter. Take big hits, hold them for a long time. If you're used to a bong, use a bong. You can smoke it out of pretty much anything though, I use a glass pipe with a screen.

I tripped hard on 10x my first time, it was wacky.

you don't need a torch lighter, or a waterpipe. i smoked my bubbler without water and it worked perfectly. just roast the bowl with a bic (leave the flame on the salvia)

I hate Salvia. The same thing happened to me. I tried every standardized extract up to 20X and nothing happened, for the longest time. But there are a few reasons this may be happening to you. Because in time, I got it to work right. But it only then worked thereon out, with 20X standardized extract, and higher.

First of all, smoking too much will only make you feel light headed. It'll make you feel really cold for a second. Then you'll get light headed. This will last about 3-5 minutes. So never smoke too much. Usually a pinch (if even that) will do.

Secondly, the setting must be perfect. If you're in a room with the lights on, people around, and a bunch of noise...little to nothing will happen. And if something does happen, get ready to be scared out of your mind.

Lastly, Salvia just doesn't work as an entheogen (hallucinogenic) for some people. For some, it only gives a mild "stoned" feeling. And for others, visuals take place.

My advice is to rather 1, give up Salvia. Or 2, stop LOADING your bong (if you're using one), with the stuff. As that will not make it work! If there had to be a 3, i'd say START OUT with the HIGHEST degree of standardized extract you can get you hands on. Don't start at normal salvia leaves. Don't start at 5X extract. And don't start at 10X extract.

Dive directly into 20X and 40X standardized extracts.

...Just don't get ripped off. 1 Gram is usually 50 dollars. And 50 dollars can get you like 4 grams of weed. Which infact, DOES work and DOES get you high. Plus, it lasts longer.

Personally, I don't think 5 minute highs are worth it. My personal advice is to just stick with weed. Or if you really want to try an entheogen that actually works, do LSD, or Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds. They work.

I bought a gram f 10X. I smoked 5 bowls of it with hardly any effects at all. Then I thought to myself "Fuck it, I'll just do one more..."

i remember the first time i did it was 10x if it was weed itd b like 1/3 of a bowl i smoked that shit all in one hit, held for like 15 secs i knew a trip was on its way. as im walking in the house all the furniture on the side of me started coming together like it was supposed to be there, so i kinda think about that but never look at it directly and jus keep walkin ahead up my stairs at the top i was at the peak (this is so hard puting into words) but i was fucked the one thing i rememberd was to hide my pipe so i put it under my refrigerator then i was hearing what i thought were real voices up the stairs so i yelled who the fuck is up there?? turns out i left the tv on.

my mate stitched his stepdad up with it he did a big fuckoff bong thou it was weed!! he started dribbling fell to the floor and started throwing his arms about,my mate is a chef his mate was a chef they were trying to pick him up or sort him out,when he come round he said he thou they were men in white coats and he was in a mental home(they had chef whites on)he thou that was how his life was for a minute or two,,he was not happy!! Oh yes! Bless reverse tolerance! I FINALLY got something out of my 15x in my bong. No visuals, but I had the whole distorted thought thing going on... I thought those brown mushroom things from Mario were Jewish, so they couldn't cross a bridge to get food, because they had to fast for Yom Kippur.

My advice is to try the 60x standardized extract.
I didn't get psychoactive effects until i moved up to 60x.
It kind of sucks how expensive it is,
but you don't need much to get "high."

Not everyone feels it. I've smoked all the extracts trying to get the shit to trip me out, and it just dont work on me. I stick to illegal drugs, they seem to do the trick everytime.

I'm experimenting with different environments right now. I've done outside, my room, in the dark, and right before a class (THAT was fun). The 60x wasn't too inexpensive for what it's worth. 1 fl.oz. of 60x (FREAKIN' 60 X) for like 30 bucks. I'mma try it, and see how it works. I went to a shop today, got some 35x, and the guy who owns it (really nice old guy) gave me A Look, and said "Not many people buy that..." and then broke out into a grin :D

Thats not exactly true. My first expirience was VERY similar to marijuana. The first 2 minutes or so were spent in an extreme haze of laughing and running around some strangers house, but the next hour or so felt EXACTLY like weed. That doesn't happen anymore.
Salvia's an unpredictable bitch.

Yeah, when I did salvia outdoors, I just got a weed high and I laughed so hard i pissed myself. literally.

But when i did it properly, with MEDITATION and DARKNESS and SILENCE, i was treated with beautiful visuals and trips to far away places (in my case, the school cafeteria. i became an apple. not sure why.)
