Please can someone help me, i have 6 plants growing on a hydroponic tray. I need to know how long the water should be running and at what cycle, my strain is skunk1 and my light cycle is 18/6. I have been told water should run for 45 mins in every hour 24 hrs a day is this correct?

In rockwool 2 to 3 20 min cycles a day

anything else 6 30 min cycles a day.

This should do the trick.

Peace

in a tray????
what medium??
what flow rate????
rockwool requires say 50 ml a day for small plants average, so the drippers set at 2 litres an hr for five minutes every three hrs1 no feed at night!,
however in arlita this would not be enought and a feed at the same rate could start at 15 mins drip every three hrs,, all these will ned adjusting as the plant grows!, dont overwater rock wool! alow it time to drain down and dry a little too, saturated rockwool means no air to the roots and a dead plant!

try giving some more info!
a nft system flows cionstatly!

welcome to the world of endless possibilities,,,,,hydroponics

When I did flood-and-drain in rockwool cubes and a bed of hydroton, I flooded 2x/day with good results. The hydroton had time to just dry between flood cycles, and I never had a rot problem.
As your plants grow larger and demand more water, you may want to increase to 3x/day.

my tray consists of a large tank with pump underneath, the gently sloping tray, covered by a plastic sheet with holes in for the plants. my plants are in rockwool cubes
the tray is crosshatched with channels for the water to trickle down from the left side to the right.

its hard to describe so i will try to upload a picture of it

the above pics are 1 week after placing in the large rockwool cubes and 2 weeks since they were taken from the mother.

thats a nft system,
they work good,ya have to put two cubes on top of each other at the deep end right!?
i would go for 15 mins on 15 mins off, as soon as the plants have rooted wel, the water has an obundance of oxygen in this type of sytem, ad they produce really well.

DEPENDS ON YOUR SYSTEM I WATER MINE 1 MIN EVERY HOUR FROM 8 AM TO700PM 1MIN AT 11;00 AND 1 MIN AT 3 ON A 12/12 LIGHT CYCLE
I DONT THINK THATS ENUGH TIME FOR YOU CUT BACK TIME OF FEEDIND BUT FEED MORE OFTEN THAT KEEPS ROOTS WET BUT YOU DONT WANT TOFLOOD THEM
