Odd Home Test Results

Hey guys,

Quick question here. I last smoked 36 days ago for a long weekend, but before that I hadn't smoked since february of 06. During the weekend 36 days ago I smoked probably 3 full joints of pretty strong stuff.

I have a drug test this friday, so I went out and bought a home test. To test the worst case scenario, I took the test on my first piss of the day. I figured if I could pass then I could pass at any point in the day.

Much to my surprise, it came up positive for THC!! This really surprised me since I hadn't smoked in over a month.


After I got the positive result, I downed 3 glasses of water, bought another test, took it again, and passed. I also took another test this morning, and passed. What the f?

Considering this info, do you guys think I will be ok on friday if I drink a few glasses of water? Have you ever heard of tests behaving this way? The first posistive test has me freaked honestly. I can't afford to lose this job.

Well if you took it and it was your first piss of the day that is probabley why it came up postitive. You urine was in your bladder all night and had time to just sit there and absorb all kinds of shit. That is the worse time to piss is if its your first piss of the day. Drink lots of water and some gatorade if your worried about your piss being too clear. When you start to piss catch it mid stream. So what you do is piss a little in the toliet than catch some in the cup and then when you get enough in the cup piss the rest in the toilet. Try not to get your first and last part of your piss just the middle. You should be fine though. Just make sure you piss a few times before you go take the test.

How much gatorade should I drink the day of to make my urine yellow again....if I am using the dilution method that is? Should I just drink yellow gatorade only instead of water?

It is not gatorade that makes your urine yellow, that is vitamin B-2. Gatorade is better than water because it keeps your specific gravity up. I would go with about 40 ounces of sports drink 1- 1 & 1/2 hours before the test, depending on your weight. Maybe 48 ounces.

Ok...so I will take a few B-2's the night before the test, drink 48 ounces of gatorade during the 1-2 hours before the test period....and pee like 3 or 4 times before the test.

Take the B-2 the morning of the test.

No, b2 the morning of will (depending on your body) overload it, even with ample amounts of water. Take it about 6 hours before the drug test, and you should be okay. Your morning piss is VERY VERY concentrated, so that's why it tested positive.
