My Aunt came down with my two baby cousins (3 1/2 and 2) from friday to Monday and I miss them so much. It was so much fun playing with them, me and the older one ran from the kitchen of my house to the living room and back solidly for half an hour and it didnt get boring, they were so sweet and incredibly well behaved and polite (my Aunt is a great mum).
Anyway, sorry to bore you with this its just I suddenly realised how much I love kids.

im taking this life-span developmental psychology course...and i have grown to idealize kids because of their potential....you look at every kid as your own little creature with endless possibilities that formed from ONE single cell....truly magical :)
but of course with the right parenting, friends, and genetic vulnerability....each one of those little creatures could morph into a serial killer
i hate kids the are little loud pieces of shit mess things up and ruin stuff. little shits:pimp:

i love kids. i love going over to my boyfriends sisters and playing with her baby. hes almost 6 months old and hes always so happy. hardly ever cries. i wouldn't want my own yet though. for now im happy just playing with other peoples and not having all the work and worries that come along with having your own

Toddlers are awesome!! I've got a 3yo little girl who means the world to me. I love going to pick her up at pre-school and talking with all the other little ones too. The stuff they come up with is hilarious. They're a lot smarter than we think they are. They learn really fast just what buttons to push to make you do what they want. Napolitana's right though, there is a lot of work and worries that come along with them, Def better to wait until you're sure you're ready.

I hate it when people say that kids make mess and are unruly, they are only like that if they have shit parents. its not hard to make sure your child is well behaved.

i believe the same thing, i mean this whole ADD thing has been taking way out of perspection, suddenly every single kid today has ADD and is taking medication for it. When did this spurt of ADD kids pop up?
my answer? shitty parenting, you let your kids do what they want and let them get away with everything and making them pretty much free of consequences. it sickens me, i mean just teach your child how to behave, at the very least around other people and in public situations.
im not trying to bash parenting or in anyway say its a simple job, the goal is simple, however putting forth the effort to achieve that goal of an obediant well mannered child is quite another situation.
Im only 17 so i dont really know much about actually raising a kid from scratch :p but these are jsut my views on the matter.

Kids in their toddler years are awesome. They're hysterically funny. Such little sponges for language and the world. Those heartfelt belly laughs they laugh when something strikes them as funny. I adore little ones. Was only lucky enough to have one of my own, but I've loved kids since I myself was one. I sure hope I have a lot of grandbabies one of these days!

The ADD, and other problems, is most likely caused by bad diets, which has been getting worse over the past few decades. Sure, the parenting is partly to blame, but it's what they're being fed that's causing the lion's share of major problems.

My theory on ADD is that's it's being electronically driven--and that kids' brains are evolving in more ADD fashion because of the earlier and earlier fast-moving electronic interaction. I've found this to be true in several kids I've known since infancy and then seen differences in others who weren't exposed to so many bits and bytes of electronic media when their brains were forming neural pathways early on. I'm convinced this has an effect. Someday I'd like to be able to prove this theory.
