Setup costs dont have to be that much really. you just have to shop about and know what you want. Am still spending on mine coz i keep adding things like envitolites extra fans ect..

Couple of extra weeks is no biggy, thought i'd got some crap seeds that took longer than everyone elses lol So when you starting to flower? Mine's been on 12/12 for under a week and has grown loads, starting to look like a proper plant now ;)

BUT...

To keep it away Im using a 6" carbon filter hooked to to a RVK 150 Extractor fan. Also outside the room I'll be running an Ionizer...Thats supposed to do the trick also, not sure :confused: Then our lass has a host of smelly things around the house to keep it down. :thumbsup:

Hiya man, all look proper good flower wise,:stoned: commin on real good. had a few little probs with some larger fan leaves having slight rusty spots on em :o , But might have sorted that over the last couple of nights by changin the timers for my fans to let more air in and out during the lights off period..seems to have worked this morning. just had a quick lookover and no signs of bud rot ect..:thumbsup: :thumbsup: Humidity was high and like i said coz of the air intake ect... it seems to work a treat.

They' ve done 5 weeks now and looking crystal white on most buds the pistals are browning nice too. the trichomes well there still clear mostly the odd few that are frostin...

Thanks man I will be happy enough just t get a smoke this time round..Yes am using a NFT try with the pots sat in with hydropebbles covering the bottoms of the pots.But still has the res is underneath seems to work for me..as for the clones I get them in from a friend of a friend so when im gettin em i'll grab a few extra see if we can sort out. Am gonna flush with ph'd water last week of flower maybe just less than a week coz of NFT should flush alot quicker..then maybe let them sit with no feed or water for 2-3 days. this should help with the drying process..and the plant use anything food wise whats left over..

Sounds good to me ecky, i've also read somewhere that stressing the plant late in flowering increases thc production, might be an idea to test the theory by watering a couple normally and with-holding water from others to see if there is a difference? Nah i've not been around here much the last couple of weeks, my ps2 broke a couple of months ago and i've just got a new one, so i've been getting stoned and spending most of the day playing gran turismo without realising ;)

Its mad all this lol. ive just been reading on how to starve stress plants. seems you get even more THC if you do it.

During flushing water for 48 hrs then starve for 24 hrs at a time.

so much to think about these next couple of days. Ive 2 days max in my rez and thats it, no more nutes for em.

Aye, I do it as well m8. Say I was doing an indoor grow & the strain took 6 weeks to finish....power feed them for 4 weeks [ up to 1650 -1800 ppm.] then start flushing coz they don't need any more....1st week of flushing...normal watering times with NO overnight drinks & 2kg's of raw sugar [dissolved with warm water] in the system, no need to adjust PH for flushing, just straight water[with the sugar]....just watch those buds stack on the weight with the sugar fix :thumbsup:this also makes it much nicer to smoke :thumbsup: ...last week....straight water once every 2 days for 4 days then nothing for the last 3 days or whenever you think they are ripe. You could also leave them in the dark for the last 3 days as well, this also increases resin production. :greenthumb: another trick I use is stem piercing.... :thumbsup: what you do is stab the stem just above the level of the medium, split it all the way thru the bottom of the stem,[with a pocket knife or whatever] & force a wedge of some sort in there....I use a sharpened stick, like a small spear... :p don't worry, you won't kill it even tho it looks fatal....normally I do this when there is 2-3 weeks of flowering left.....if you wanted to experiment with this technique, you could try it on a smaller branch 1st. if you feel uncomfortable about stabbin' yer ladies....;) but all I can say is that it increases the stress on the plant, therefore increasing trichome production. I've been doing it 4 years now on indoors & outdoor plants & I haven't killed 1 yet....You just have to see it to believe it m8, they literally start gushing resin crystals...:thumbsup:

I forgot to mention you gotta flush it REALLY well after you give it the sugar coz it gunks up the system a bit, but it's all water soluble, so it's all sweet, so to speak....LOL :D If you can, let them suck it up for a minimum of 1 week. :greenthumb: The piercing trick I got from a book called "Marijuana Potency" by Michael Starks [1977, published by And/Or Press] :thumbsup: Excellent book, full of info, how to make hash & oil in a variety of ways & generally increasing potency.... :thumbsup: apparently Mexican farmers pierce them twice, at right angles to the stem with slivers of pine, they reckon it gives them a piney flavor :confused: I think it also increases & enhances the plants natural flavors & odors, as well as resin :weedpoke: If only only I had a scanner dude, I could show you how my ladies cope with being pierced, tied down & water stressed in their last weeks. :weedpoke: I have got some nice pics of crop from 2 seasons ago, we got just under 4 1/2 lbs. from 7 plants out the back in pots...:yippee: all mostly indicas, all from bagseed :D my 1st. ever 1 lb. plant was in that lot as well :D :thumbsup: if you really wanna show your gratitude, that's what the rep. system is for m8 ;)

Shit ecky really sorry to hear your bad news. Sounds like you've not taken it too bad tho, keep smiling :) You've just learnt a lesson and thankfully it's not been as expensive as it could of been! Sure it's cost some money and time but you've got some more knowledge and experience so it's not been entirely wasted and i'm sure you'll get lots of decent smoke from your ladies anyway. I had something happen when i was growing last year which taught me a few lessons, that's why mine's hid away in the loft now and i've told nobody. i ended up harvesting 2 early due to mold got 4 oz of ok rate 6/10 then had 2 smaller plants which i got about an oz which sat u on your'e arse rate that at 8/10 smoked it all now have to use dealers again,what a bummer. what color were the trichs when u harvested in the end?

sup ecky sorry i aint been intouch for a while ive been really busy. listen bruv sorry to hear that u had to harvest early thats got to be the worst feeling ever and all because of sum little shit it aint on isit. any way lesson learnt now so hopefully ur next grow will go even better man. well im down to 3 plants now as i had heat probs and then my flo which my mate put up fell down right on top of sum of my babies which i went mental about but any ways im 2 weeks into flowering now i had to flower early coz im moving just after xmas and i really need this grow out of the way. i aint going to holland now im moving to milton keynes. at least i can make sum money out of my green over here. well ive decided and ive done alot of reading and i think my next grow i might go abit bigger and get a flood and drain system ive seen a nice 24 pod system with lights the whole works for 1000 so i think ill get it for my self call it an xmas prezzie lol any way ive mumbled on quite abit now so ill let you go. let me know what the final weight was man i hope its still a gd xmas for you. listen i have some things to think bout but it might help u out ne ways ill email u when ive thought more about it laters ecky stay safe and look after ur self merry xmas and a happy new year
