View Full Version : Whoa! That was a fuckin trip!

hi all,

I just have to tell you all what just happened a mere 2 min ago.

I have a tree in my backyard that grows small, red berries, that the birds eat. After they eat a few, they get in a somewhat drunken state, and they fly rather eratically. Well, one just flew into my window, hard, really hard. I looked down and I see the poor buggers wing is bent the other direction, so I went outside to check him out, and it was for sure broken and no way it could fly again. I grab a towel, wrap him up in it, and it looked like his eyes were glazing over, as if he was slowly dying.

I couldn't let the poor thing suffer, so I grabbed a bucket filled with water to put the bird out of its misery. As soon as i put the birds head into the bucket, it flew right out my hand and landed on the ground. He didn't fly away right away, but his wing looked fine and didn't look broken anymore. A few minutes on the ground, so I decide to at least put him in a tree so the local cats don't get him. I pick him up, and he flies away, far, far away.

I almost killed a bird. :p It was a trip and a half and I just had to share. :D

The birds were most likely just drunk. It's very common for certain kinds of berries to ferment, then the brids eat them and get drunk, then fly around all loopy and fall around. Do you live in or around Florida Nochowderforyou? It's pretty common there.

Yes, that's exactly what happens. It's a rather large window as well and the tree is no more than 25ft away from the window. It happens all the time, and in a few cases, the birds have broken their neck and died. All from a drunken berry. :p

No, I live in Alberta Canada, that's a loooooooooong ways from FL.

Ha ha! That's what I was saying. It was half a second away from breathing in water and then it just, snapped out of it and figured, what the fuck is this human doing to me. :p

i guess the bird was being dramatic and it really didnt hurt that much flying into the window.. when he realized some1 was drowining his ass he bounced haha

It just happened again! A bird just ran full tilt into my window, but this, time bird wasn't so lucky. :( It landed on the ground with its neck a little crooked. It was still breathing but stopped after a few minutes. Now it lies dead on my ground.

That's fucked up though! Damn!

Well that was an awesome story to start off the day. I can't believe you were about to kill it though, hah. Well if it died, I hope you would have burried it and made a little tombstone for it? ;)

I hate seeing cute little animals die...breaks my heart.

when i was in holland, i was chillin in the grass under a tree watching boats go by, smoking hash and eating some bread. Then a duck comes from the water and i started feeding him. After a while i was able to toutch the duck and everytime i stopped feeding him, he would bite my knee LOL it was so crazy, i was stoned as hell and had a duck eating my munchies :D:D Old people from passing boats waved at me when they saw me play with the duck LOL
