I could tell who all the stoners were in my science class because we just reviewed the metric system and about 5 kids in my class (including me) knew how many grams in like a 1/8th ounce, 1/4 ounce, 1/2 ounce, an ounce, quarter pound, half pound, and a pound without even thinking about it.

Ha ha! That's awesome.

Not for me though as I live in Canada and we don't use the metric system, otherwise, yes, I would have aced those tests!

A Canadian who doesn't use or know the metric system. I may be high... but that doesn't sound right at all. Maybe my sarcasm detector is broken?

I know the metric system, I was talking in terms in school, where the metric system isn't taught. Not where I was taught anyways.

They should have really done a once over of the metric system in at least grade 10 science. The different units, their associated prefix (mili, cent, deci, deca, kilo, etc.) and the decimal/power of 10's thing should have been mentioned at some point... ?

I'm in the usa and we don't use metric either, only for science.

Im pretty sure my history teacher knows i smoke. one day in class we were talking about how dealers know how much weed to sell and for what price. so i told him that they deal in fractions of ounces usually 1/8 , 1/4 etc. and each fraction is a set weight in grams. he asked me how many grams were in an 1/8th and i didnt even hesitate and answered 3.5

he looked at me kinda funny and said "I see", i looked to my friend who sits next to me and he told me i might as well have asked him to smoke a bowl.

ohh well it was pretty funny i think
