Dont get me wrong if a song talks about toking in it that ok, but if the only point that the lyrics discuss is illegal activity, it seems to me like someone is just attempting to show off how much more dangerous and bad ass they are than anyone else.

Lol, no offence, but this is pretty juvinile and stagnant. Maybe it's just me, but using a very elementary rhyming technique and cursing every third word just doesn't cut it. Seriously, how hard is it to think of all the words that rhyme with "dank" or "haze" or "take"?

This Mr. Criminal reminds me of a member of Three 6 Mafia gone horribly, horribly wrong. Those guys from Three 6 know how to make beats for sure, and at least their hooks and verses are more creative than this. I'm not a huge fan of rap artists that talk only of recreational drugs, but that's beside the point. I just think it's a little cheesy for someone to smoke and get high to this crap, lol.

Why does it have to be about weed to be good? Don't get me wrong though, because I'm as big a fan of Bone Thugs as the next guy, but at least they have flow and a vocabulary consisting of more than just words that end in "-ank". I might need to actually hear some of Mr. Criminal's songs to truly try and grasp what he sounds like, but from the lyrics alone, it's garbage. Maybe he has a voice that sets off the track, but I doubt it. If I didn't know any better, this could have easily been written by some 14-year old, white suburbanite kid trying to find identity in some sad 50 Cent rap culture. So in short, it'd be a 'crime' to listen to 'Mr. Criminal' on a regular basis. That's just my :twocents: though. ~

Budsmoker, weed is indeed a drug, troubling as the connotation of that word may be. Maybe not a dangerous illicit, addictive "drug" in the same way that heroin or coke or methamphetamine are, despite its classification in the eyes of the law. But it's a plant that contains psychoactive chemicals, and it's a drug in the same way that caffeine or coca leaves or thousands of other found-in-nature botanical substances are, too. They're all drugs in that they all act on the body in some medically detectable way. It's up to us to help unindoctrinated folks learn to respect it as a more benign--and even beneficial--drug than the other substances it gets lumped in with legally.

god how appropriate to have this near the current state of hip hop thread. how about the current state of youth who think music(i use the term very loosely here) is good if they talk about pot. god this is our future. so so sad. i think it is just a phase though eventually theyll get stheir heads on straight
