okay, so basically, my friend can't get high. he's smoked maybe 3-5 times before, and smoked 3+ fat ass bowls with us last night. he said he "could barely feel anything" and he thinks that the little bit he did feel was just a mini-bar sized bottle of smirnoff he had. he thinks he just can't get high. is this possible? i mean, have you guys ever heard of anything like this?

Its a little weird, I've tried some grasses that smoke like hog weed and do sweet feck all for me, but my buddys in smoke say they think its "great shit".

I say, 3 good gravs that leave him coughing, or close to coughing, and he'll be fucked. Make him pack and pull them too, tell him to hit it as many times as he can. Trust me, it will work. He'll eventually get too stoned to pull another one.

no, this shit is really good. it's sticky as fuck and 5 hits got me FUCKED (i have a pretty high tolerance right now =P) but he had like 13 last night and didn't feel shit. is it clinically possible for thc-9 and other cannabinoids(sp?) to have no effect whatsoever on a user? i mean, that was his 4th time, and we had a first timer with us that night, and he got ripped. we're gonna try again tonight. anyone have anything to help him out?

okay, i get it. gravity. gotcha. stop saying it. is there anyone who can tell me just what the fuck is going on?? he says he:

1. takes the hit by breathing really deep
2. keeps breathing in after he passes the shit
3. holds it in for like 15 seconds

as far as i know, he's doing everything right. is there something he's not doing???

Maybe he's allergic and just doesn't feel anything. I've never heard of someone not getting high before or even feeling anything though.

I had the same problem. You only get high when THC and other canabaniods are absorbed in your lungs. Most novice smokers only fill their mouths and windpipes with smoke then cough it all back up.

When you are not used to it and your body is going nuts trying to reject the smoke your windpipe can feel youâ??re "breathing really deep".

My suggestion is to have him suck on a cough drop while he smokes (hold it under your tong to keep from inhaling it). It should help suppress the cough reflex.

That's what helped me.

Your friend's not necessarily smoking incorrectly, Slpntrx5. It takes some people longer to feel the effects of cannabis. I was one of those people, too, when I first smoked weed. Took me easily 7 or 8 tries. I knew how to smoke and inhale just fine.

From what I can determine, resistance to getting high appears to be a matter of exposing and sensitizing the cannabinoid receptors in the smoker's brain and body to a point where they'll take up the cannabinoids in the smoked weed and intoxicate the person. This makes sense to me, since I know this is true of opiate receptors, too, that some people simply are more resistant to the effects of opiates and other substances. You friend's just in the process of waking up his cannabinoid receptors. Tell him to keep trying and see if he doesn't see some progress after a few more smoking sessions.

i have good news. he just got high with me last night. we smoked a bowl in my bathroom and he was just gone lol. i have close to a dub in my stash, too, so hopefully it'll last till next weekend. :p
