Here to share some pictures of what Ive been doing my last few absent weeks. I cut down all my old plants except the large G13 and the Afghani Kush due to moving and other reasons. Already smoked some, despite being a little premature its beautiful. Happy. But on to much better things.
First set are 48 Trainwreck clones, 2 Cindy 99 clones, 5 Cindy 99 mothers from seed, and 2 Skunk #1 clones. We didnt lose any clones. They are in 1 gallon pots, 45% FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil, 10% homemade worm castings, and 45% perlite. They are under 9 T5 HO Newwave fluros and a 400 watt HPS. I have to say, they seem to like the T5 HO better. This weekend we go into flowering, so the T5 flurescents get exchanged for 2 600 watt digital HPS air cooled lights and well still use the 400 watt HPS. The Cindy 99 mothers go into a veg closet for another week under another 400 watt, then get cut again. The current 2 Cindy 99 clones, 2 Skunk #1 clones, and 4 more unknown clones (have to choose today) go into my own personal grow tent in my room (I like having stuff to tinker with). We planted 5 seeds of Cindy 99 about a month ago, and we got 5 females. There is also a picture of a few bag seeds (same as my previous soil grow) which will join the Cindy 99 mothers.
We use Advanced Nutrients Growth Excel every morning when the lights come on. I am very very happy with the growth rate. We are expecting around 3 feet tall in the end, mostly single cola. We topped a few to compare. Aside from that, no nutrients until about 5-6 days into flowering since the Fox Farm generally has enough veg nutes for 3 weeks. Then we are splitting down the middle, 24 plants on one type of nutrients and 24 on another. I think my nutrients, which are comprised of Bloom, Grow, Micro, Vita Boost, Hornby Bud Juice, and Growth Excel, will blow away the other half which is on a completely organic and far less aggressive schedule (but still uses Growth Excel). We have quite a few bets going.
When we put up the 600 digitals, we install the 8" inline exhaust fan (pulling air from the 2 air cooled hoods and air from the grow room) and exhausting through an 8" carbon filter. A 6" duct takes cold air from the outside, through a 500cfm 6" inline fan and into the room. It is sealed, but we're experimenting without CO2 in this room. Right now vegging the room doesnt get very warm. I am excited to try out the digital 600s.
The second set of pictures is another closet running a 1000 watt HPS with a cooltube. Plants are about 6-7 weeks into flowering. They are made up of 2 Romulan, 2 AK-47, 3 Sensi-Star, and 2 MK Ultra. The AK-47 gave us a horrible time from the beginning as one was stuck in flowering when we got the clone and never really reverted back. However, despite their stunted size, they look and smell gorgeous and they are falling over from the weight.
Next week I will post pictures of the other box, which is 4x7 feet, carries 2 1000 watt HPS air cooled lights exhausting through an 8" inline fan and another carbon filter. A 6" Fantech keeps fresh air moving in. 20 lb CO2 tank will supplement the fresh air on a 8 times a day schedule (fans off and co2 on for 45 minutes, exhaust for 25 minutes, repeat). We are using planter boxes, and essentially copying Tranoble's recipe. 60 clones, 33watts/plant, dehumudifier. The box is 100% sealed. Planter boxes are made from 2"x6" and plywood. There are 2 of them, 1 for each light. We are expecting a minimum of 2 pounds from this box.
The next few months should be exciting. Many updates to follow.
