ok, i was just thinking, the best part of life is dreaming yeh, and you get a sweet sweet taste every now and then, so i was thinking about it, what if the afterlife was when you finally get to STAY in the dream world youve visited so many times, and wanted to stay sooooo much, but never can, i myself would love this but just wanted to know how good you think it would be, and even maybe if there is a religion which incorporates this into itself,

i dunno why, i just thought it would be cool:stoned:

dude i totally agree with you. i've been thinking the same thing lately. when you dream it's like you go to a world that revolves around you and everything there is to please you.

Waking Life man.
Watch it stoned. Fucking beautiful, pertaining to this subject.
For ten minutes after death, there is supposedly brain activity.
Who's to say this ten minutes can't be an eternity in your own mind?
Off to dreamland....

I hope not...except for the occasional angelina jolie/hottube episode, most of my dreams are pretty boring and silly. An eternity of that brainvomit would be very tedious indeed.

"Who's to say that 10 minutes can't be an eternity in your own mind?"

That wouldn't equal an eternity, nothing finite can. Yet it could equal a passage way into another form where time can be percieved differently along with reality and all things about it.

Although the dream theory is plausible and I do agree.

Although it's simply no where near that simple. What we create within our minds is reality, whether we're asleep or not. Yet when we die we have no physical brain to create those things, so it's a conscious creation, instead of conscious/subconscious. No dreaming. But a constant stream of creation.

There's a little birdie that goes around telling people the whole point of coming to the physical plane is to for 1)experience, and for 2)perfect that natural ability of creating what you experience, so that when we go back to the other side or the plane of higher vibratory experience, IE: no body, just rotating fields of energy (spirit), we don't end up creating the wrong things, hurting ourselves, or just going off into a nightmarish, or like the poster above me said, boring "brainvomit" type experience. The whole point is to see that it's brainvomit and CHANGE IT!

Everything is subjective, means subject to change. This place does not really exist. it only exists in our minds. yet it is so firmly engraved in our minds that has the ability to be shown through a physical plane of existance.

Why would you want to dream for eternity, its amazing that people put such a small price on suffering and hard lessons, they make you who you are, and so do the people around you, fuck heaven I'd rather go to hell.

we where ment to never suffer and to listion to God once we stoped (adam&eve) he said fine do it by your self and watch how you distroy your self. Today we can't deny the FACT HUMAN's can't run them selfs.

A lot of things about dreaming are very interesting. Its a way to see many of the possibilities of what your mind can think and basically re assures you that there is endless thought and dreaming is one of the ways to reach the state.

however....in many dreams i feel uncomfortable whether they are nightmares or not

but yes, if all dreams were like constant sex and unlimited marijuana then yeah itd be awesome

You sound like Biggie Smalls.

from the pearly gates
fuck him
I didn't want to go to heaven anyway
but my momma got me on my knees
with my hands gripped
talking bout some praise the lord shit
Hail Mary
fuck her
I never knew her
I'd probably screw her
and dump her body in the sewer

I hope you guys get what you ask for

"Buddhism," does use meditation to reach the inner parts of the mind.
Which would be like the dream state.
And it also beleives that life goes on forever, with rebirth after rebirth.
Only an "Enlightened One," can escape rebirth,as rebirth is the punishment.
When a man can find his way to Nirvana, thru meditation, then he has reached the most blissfull state there could be.
Peace,
Gautama Siddhattha
