Can I still LST on a couple 4 footers?

Alright I waited too long to flower due to lack of right equipment to do so....they are getting huge, which is lovely and budding like crazy everywhere, but they are getting too tall for the grow space...
I am using a 400w HPS but it isn't a cool tube so within the next week they will be way too close to that light. I am growing in 5 gallon buckets and wondering how I could tie them or if I even can during this stage of flowering.... I do have limited space in the grow room/closet...
any input would be appreciated.

ive had a plant that was given to me at about 4ft. i simply gave it 2 bends and it was fine. i pretty much just bent it to the side. BUT be careful ur ladies are getting old and more brittle so bbe extra careful with those stems. wouldnt want to break that main cola in half now would ya? =]

hell no I wouldn't want to break it... I will try it this week and will probably underbend as opposed to over bend...

how did you do it and where on the main cola... I am afraid I will break it...
