purple ice pheno??

hi everyone, long time no see. work is slowing for me a bit now that the summer is winding down, and i have a little free time in the evenings to get on the computer so here i am. my friend is currently flowering 3 different ice plants(nirvana), each being a totally different pheno. one looks to be more sativa dom, being very tall and somewhat stretchy another is very indica dom which is actually one of the fullest/bushiest plants i've ever seen. the third plant is what is very interesting. this plant is definetely indica dom like the other but the buds are all purple. none of the leaves have any purple nor was there any purple on the plant at all until the end of the 1st week of 12/12. just the calyx's are purple nothing else. has anyone ever encountered a purple ice pheno? it could be common for all i know as i have never grown myself or seen any other ice plants other than these 3.

it's not my grow and i'm not sure how my friend feels about me taking pics and posting them. i will take my camera over and ask him. either way i'm still curious to know is the purple pheno is common or not

my friend cut 1 sample bud of the purple ice plant to decide whether to havest now or wait another week or so. upon trimming the fan leaves and hanging it in front of the exhaust fan to "quick dry" it we realized that the buds are not purple at all, they are bright pink!!!!! we have not smoked it yet because it's still not dry enough but it is definetely some of the coolest looking bud i've seen. i hope it is as potent as it is pretty!!!!! ii'll get some pics as soon as i can.
