Here are the latest pics from my grow. I have been taking care of them along with my dad since we put them in the ground in june (they were started around may sometime) and i've taken pics all along but havent been motivated enough until now to post any.
Most are between 4-6 weeks flowering at this point, and yes.... some have gone purple! :rasta:

heres the 'other' patch... about 5 plants spread over a 1/4 mile square, and this one's a little closer to home... unfortunately there has been increased 4-wheeler activity near the girls so my dad decided to take off a shitload of fan leaves, making them far more inconspicuous but weaker and smaller as a result. it doesnt bother me too much though, its better than getting busted ;) i might upload some pics of there progress before these pics were taken (ive been taking pics since late july, these here are from this weekend) along with more info and stuff depending on the feedback from these posts.. enjoy! :pimp:

well i wish i could tell you the exact strains that im using, but im really not sure. i think that most have shown sativa/indica characteristics with dominance of sativa really showing through. I had a crop last year that was stolen, however one of them went hermie and pollinated all of them. I got one plant before the rest were jacked, and it was loaded with seeds. i went back about 2 weeks later and the only thing left was the stalk of the plant i had allready harvested... with 2 tiny purple buds that were a darker shade of purple then ive ever seen on bud, so i used those seeds as well as some skunk seeds my dad got from a friend. supposedly the skunk strain has been grown in my region for 25 years or so and interbred and cloned exclusively by this one guy. we had a patch near the river that was taken by the june floods, about 10 of them and i think most of them were the skunk. supposedly one survived and my dad says it makes the rest of these plants look like shit.. about 8 ft tall and 4 feet wide!! so hopefully ill get pics of that soon
Im from central NY, in the mountains... kind've close to woodstock... near the PA border and thats about as specific as i can give ya right now. Oh and we used miracle gro soil, along with bone and blood meal, superthrive during veg. and foxfarm big bloom during flowering. any other questions just let me know

heres a nice little comparison i discovered today
heres one of our biggest as of 9/16 [attachment=o89440]
and heres what she looked like about a month and a half before that, 7/24
[attachment=o89441]

i like foxfarm big bloom, and recommend it to anyone who asks :-)

heres what i had stolen from me last year....
[attachment=o89442] [attachment=o89443]

one of them was a white widow :-( a friend bought a 10 pack and had an extra for me.... and it was a female.... and it was one of the stolen ones... :-( [attachment=o89444]

i too, am growing in the northeast. but damn... your guys's plants makes mine look like hell. I've only got one cuz of a very shitty sequence of events..
i had 13 to begin with, but about 5 were eaten by deer, and another 5 were lost to some INSANE bug infestation. by the time i had gotten bug spray and fencing for the deer, i only had 2 left. one turned out male, and so yea... ive just got one now.

well it is harvest time where are some damn pictures!!:D :D hope you had a good year even with all the bad luck.i had pretty bad luck this year too.out of 35ish plants i got to harvest 3 good ones and 3 or 4 shitty ones.i actually had a plant grow to about 6 1\2 inches tall and produce 2ish grams of bud(may to october)ever seen any shit like that?

sorry for the lack of update fellow c.c users
harvest time is a wonderful and busyyy time of year!
juggling a 15 credit semester of mostly 2-300 level classes, living an hour away from home and having a girlfriend make it that much busier
i am saddened to say that our 3 purple beauties were jacked... go figure, they were in the most remote location on the top of a damn mountain.. no trails. we said in the beginning 'well the frost or mold might take these, but no rippers will ever get near them' but alas they were jacked.... however the 5 or 6 other ones we had in much more obvious close to civilization spots were not ripped.. often times with ATV trails from unknown wanderers about 10-20 yards away.
my dad freaked when the purples were stolen and chopped some colas early, which sucked, but mold was a problem for a lot of ppl in my area this year and we had NONE!! :-)

first round end of september... kind've pre-mature but still real good smoke
[attachment=o96980] [attachment=o96981]
not all but some of it [attachment=o96984]

my pop's clones that he had in buckets... only ones we had on our property, he ended up pulling a few zips dry per plant off these, which were dying when he rescued and transplanted them from a neglectful friend in late july
most of the big colas in the 2nd pic are from those clones (first round of chopping, just the big ones for mold prevention)

more coming

heres the HUUUUGE BITCH!!!
neglected due to location (right next to the river... aka danger to being seen by tourists) this was the only one that survived the june flood (out of 9 plants) in and around this particular spot. it was a huge loss for us, but dear god... this plant ended up yielding about a half lb. a few weeks after this pic was taken.
too scared to bring the camera right before harvest, so these were the last living pics of her sometime in late sept
she was a 9 footer, about 6 feet wide or so.... planted in a deposit of cornfield soil and old stalks.. ripe with nitrogen.. fed with foxfarm and superthrive wayyyyyy less than the other plants, but yielded about 2-3 times as much as any of them

How come are there so many colas??? i grow indoors and i thought its one cola per plant unless chopped. your amazing plants dont looks to be topped and they've got loads of heads, is that common with sativa's?

doobage
11-11-2006, 06:44 PM
yea we topped and pruned the hell out of these
some were topped twice
pruning went on until the first or 2nd week of flowering
plus it was a hot and sunny summer (for the most part)
and of course.... Fox Farm Big Bloom fert right around the time preflowers were forming til about week 5 of flowering helped a lot!!
