well i got caught again and i told my mom the truth about cannabis but theres still a little more that i copuld say to her that would get her to not care. Shes concerned about me not konwing what I'm getting, the fct that its illegal, and maybe cause it frys your brain. so yah i think i should say sonmethng about grades cuz right now im getting real good grades and i could tell her that ti ahs no effect on me at school and if I maintain grades it should be no problem.

Holy shit man.. when I got busted by my mom she said pretty much the same thing!!! In her exact words: " I don't want you doing pot. It's illegal. If it weren't illegal it would be a different story". I also told her about all the good things about good ol' mary jane as opposed to booze ( which she buys for me) and the only reason why she didn't want me doing it was because it's illegal. Too many people do not know the facts and only listen to government BULLSHIT!!! LEGALIZE POT SO MY MOM WILL LET ME SMOKE!!! lol

If your use is light, this might help your case with Mom. http://www.cmaj.ca/cgi/content/abstract/166/7/887
Also, it does NOT mess with your memory (after you're straight -while you're stoned is another story- lol) No brain damage from pot. http://marijuana.researchtoday.net/archive/3/3664.htm
Some studies suggest that it may be neuroprotectant and cause the brain to grow new brain cells. If your Mom has any illnesses, run a search on it and cannabis abstract- she might find pot is good for what ails her!
Incidentally, I'm 59, did most of my 2nd time around in college stoned to the gills, wrote most of my papers stoned (but cleaned them up straight) and graduated with honors in my mid 50s. I tutored other students and was the Bio lab tech while I went to college and held a part-time job. No amotivational syndrome here! I work as a teacher's aide (be nice to that always smiling teacher's aide in your class, it might be me!) and am a MMJ user in California. Feel free to show your Mom this post or to pm me.

Show her the facts from this website, tell her that nobody has ever died from it after all it's thousands of years of use. Tell her how it's good for your brain because it kills off the giloma cells (cancer of the brain, tumors) and that it protects and heals regular brain cells. Tell her it is good for your lungs because THC kills off all pre-cancerous cells before they can become cancerous and that it opens up your lungs like a dialator and clears them of dirt and smoke allowing you to breathe better. Let her know that it helps with skin cancer because theyre are cb1 and cb2 recpetors in your skin, tell her that it helps you with naseau when your sick. Let her know that anaimals treated with thc live almost twice as long as one's not treated. Let her know that studies show that those who smoke cannabis make as much or more than their abstaining peers. Also tell her that stress is one of the number one killers on this planet and that you think the best medicine has been and allways will be weed.:rasta:

Well, I don't care what anyone says, I always feel a little burnt out the day after smoking. I'm really relaxed and a hell of a ping pong player, but I just feel lethargic.

I just read the method section of the study, does anybody else think that the professors at Carleton university were being a bit vague when they described people who smoke five joints a week as a heavy user. I mean if you only smoked three a week but put a ounce in each..... Then you have to take into account the potency. I can imagine the only way to make this a fair test would be to monitor these people for months a controlled lab enviroment. Supplying the exact same strain with the same potency, but this is too impractical. If somebody offered to lock me up in a lab for months to smoke weed legally I'd be all for it but when I find out it would only be five or six spliffs a week I'd tell them where to go
