Setting parameters for myself

Hey guys I thought of a plan that would allow me to smoke weed but not sacrifice anything in the process. That is because, as some of you might know, I've been having some personal problems lately. Basically smoking weed by myself has been making me feel bad about it, as if I'm doing something very irresponsible. My non-smoking friends don't like it when I show up stoned, and a lot of people in general make some un necessary comments when they notice that I'm stoned. I think it's the fact that you would never think I'm a pothead if you saw me walking down the street.

Anyway, here's a short list of restrictions I thought up:

-Never show up at any events when I'm stoned (ex: work, school, one of my relative's Bar-Mitsvah this pat weekend. Nobody knew, but it still felt awekward)

-Never smoke near and if possible not be stoned when I'm with friends who don't smoke

-Never smoke first thing in the morning. I know this can be really hard to do but I think it's important not to wake and bake until you know what's happening that day

-If I only have a little bit of weed, save it for as late as possible, so I'm not all tired and retarded once the high fades

There's probably others, but basically, I think that I should only smoke weed:

-at home, when I am sure that I won't be leaving the house
-when I'm with other friends who are smoking

Do you think it's a good plan? My friends used to tell me that I shouldn't smoke a lot and only with friends, but for different reasons. I honsetly think I understand the real reason now.

sounds good to me.. i tried doing a little of that tonight. i had to be home at 9:30.. i got really high off of two pipes earlier (im a lightweight so i looked stoned lol) so around 9 my friend packed another pipe.. i told myself that i wouldnt smoke that close to curfew so id have time to get my damn eyes open lmao but i couldnt resist.

It's different for me.. All my friends (those who smoke and those who don't) know that i'm a stoner.. theyre used to seeing me stoned most of the time, and it doesnt bother them.. even if it did, i wouldnt change for them

if people think i look stoned in public i just say yeah, i am, whats your point? if people give me strange looks in public coz i look stoned then i just smile politely at them and carry on my business

i dont think that we should pretend we dont smoke weed.. i dont think we should pay attention to what some people think aobut smoking weed,.. because, if we do, how is anyones opinion of weed gonna change? by being a proud stoner, ive changed alot of peoples opinions on cannabis (including my parents)..

i agree i stopped smoking before school cuz some ppl at school were pissing me off. It wasnt the fact of being stoned that pissed me off more that i smelt like it so ppl were like u smell! blah blah blah...i didnt change for them i changed for me. I love smoking then going and hanging out with friends that do tho, cuz they jsut laugh at me and its fun. Lol anyways good luck with that and i get what ya sayin

I agree with GHoST's points too, though - about the educating of others ..lol..I am slowly helping my parents to understand why I a smoke (and I'm 35yrs old ffs lol), even though they still don't totally agree with it. They used to have some very ancient views of what this particular drug was about, and whilst I'm not shoving it in their face (Istill respect their views and try hard not to arrive at their house (too) stoned), I think I am dispelling some of the 'myths' associated with cannabis.

I hope you plan works, IntrepidS, but remember that it is your life, and you must do what makes your life happy (as long as no one else is being hurt) - nice to see a bit of consideration towards other peoples feelings, a sadly lacking trait of this modern world.

Just to give you guys an idea, me and my friend James have this tradition of smoking a joint every tuesday during our afternoon break. While I said something about school, this is a little tradition of ours that I will not break (but that will sadly end in a few months when I go to another school).

Aaaaaaanyway, so there's this kid named MAtt in many of my classes and I mean we're pretty cool with each other and I smoked him several joints on me in the past. He smokes weed and all, but for some reason he wasn't able to stop himself from approaching me and yelling at my face that I'm so stoned (not to mention near a really hot girl from some of my classes!). He said he was joking and I knew he was, but it still pissed the fuck out of me that he had to go and act like a little kid. Even my friend James got pissed off at him (major pothead right there btw).

Just giving you guys another example of the things that made me wanna do these things.

People that can't keep their mouth shut like that piss me off a lot too, especially trying to act all funny and yelling shit when I'm on the phone or something, but good luck and enjoy your smoke when you do
