How long should it be

I want to take a few clones from my plant but how long should the stem i want to cut be?

You want to make sure that the stem has at least one inter node on the branch after the point that you want to take the cutting IMO and others as well. This means that after you take the cutting you should still have some inter node growth on the granch or stem that you left on the plant. Clones can be as short as 2 to 3 inches, known as soft tipp cuttings or up to 7-8 inches which are a little long for my taist.
