Hey everyone :]
I just joined this forum in the footsteps of my close friend and smoking buddy who's (obviously, I guess) also from the area, but whom I don't think I'm gonna name just yet because both of us can be a little paranoid.
I've been smoking mary jane for between two years and a year + half, and around June or so I finally began to cultivate a serious love and admiration for the plant and all the things it gives us. I smoke to have a good time, but generally I don't consider myself a "partyer" of any sort; I'm kind of lame, hehe. My idea of a good time with pot is hanging out with one or two good buddies, getting baked and just sitting around or going for a walk.
I also like to think that smoking pot helped me quit drinking recently; I used to drink for no reason other than I couldn't think of anything else to do and it was wasting my body and making me sick (I've got some fierce alcoholism in my blood too). When I started to smoke more often instead, I realized it didn't waste me away and make me throw up, and that it engendered uplifting and truly calming feelings in me, and I quit drinking cold turkey.
So thar's my story. Anyhoo, good to be here!
