Public smoking.

I've had some close calls but have never been charged/caught. I have been in the smoking game since the age of 14. Been a daily pot smoker and a every now and than drinker and cig smoker, For the last 4.5 years its been daily. My friends call me paranoid about the police but I've never been caught. I smoke just about everytime I go for a car trip around my town. It's funny I've been pulled over about a mouth ago and it was the only time I was DRY! Maybe I speed when I'm dry? I dont know what it is but smoking weed in my car has become a nothing thing. I'm at the point where I ash my joints outside my rig with PINK FLOYD or the DOORS blasting. Cars sitting all around me. I dont care, And people really dont seem to notice or give a shit.

Who else publics smoked? Ever been caught and charged?

Me and friend's were at the park. Our local park which is like..5 mins away from my house closes's at like 11pm i think. We were at the top, were you can play volleyball and cook out on there grill's. A cop rolled through right after we lighted our first blunt for the night. Scared the shit outta us cause we thought we were gonna get caught. Rgiht when we were talkin to the cop's, there wus this loud poppin noise, it came from the blunt lol. Was a seed we didnt get out. The cop started askin us what that was we told him nothin and he eventually left.

dont know if this counts as public smoking but my buddy was taking bong rips in the back of my car while i was cruising around and i see a cop. i quickly get in the right turn lane hoping to just drive around and away from him. but then HE gets in the right turn lane with me. "did he see the smoke?" im thinking in my head. right as i turn the corner i see the lights flash in my mirror and i knew the jig was up. long story short, my friend hid the bong under the seat but i still got charged for possession of less then an oz. court date is october the 20th

...my mom called the cops on my for a little dime bag i had...i was 14 at the time and it was like my 2nd time smoking...now im pushing off 1/2 pounds or more twice a week...i just keep myself on the d/l...low profile and be cautious...
and i dont belive in being to paranoid, if its keeping u from being caught then keep on doing it :D

i got busted with one my mates in reading, with a little under an eigth on me. Had to sit in a cell for a couple of hours and then they let us go.

you've got it all wrong. haha. i live in california. 100 dollar fine. i dont know what my other options will be though. ive heard the option to take a 2 day class removes the missdemaner of your record. so im going to opt out for the class. sucks that im gonna have to pay for it though, probably 300 somthing dollars

Well one time I got searched at school with weed and a blunt in my pocket but SOME HOW they did not feel it. Omfg I was never so close to passin out while sober. Also one time in winter we were walking over a friends house and I was smokin outside where all the cars were and it was a police suv that drove by. I think because it was winter he might have thought it was my breath or maybe he didnt see me (it was so cold I was smokin inside of my coat lol). But no I've never been busted and I hope I never do.

Before I got caught, I smoked everyday in my car prolly 5-6 different times. On the way to work, from work to the gym, from the gym to grappling pracise, grappling to girlfriends, girlfriends to home and then another once home. I got pulled over prolly 8-9 for various things and had been smoking just about everytime if not just got through and somehow managed to get away with it each time.


I finally got pulled over for speeding with my g/f several months ago while vacationing on the coast. Cop searched me and the car and busted me with second degree possession. That was back in May.

I got 2 years probation, one year on supervised T.A.S.K. and then if I pass all tests and comply with all terms then it gets dropped off of my record.

And for the record, I still smoke everyday including the day of and before my supervised test. :rasta:

I walked 7 miles the other night, while smoking two joints that had 1gram in each. Saw a couple cops, none of which stopped me. I don't do it often.

i got busted in december for having 7 grams and paraphenilia.

wasnt too bad, 12 hours community service, a 4 hour drug class (which was all no brainer shit that i was stoned through), and 6 months of random drug tests, just got off yesterday.

i got through all of the tests so easy

Luckily they did not realize both my friend and me were tripping balls on acid (dealing with a roadside interdiction bust while tripping on acid is...interesting, to say the least), and they didn't find the other hits of acid we'd left in the glove compartment box. I was set to take the rap for everything, but my friend tried to keep his dugout and one-hitter and got caught with them, so we both got busted.

The punishment was not too severe, really. They gave us tickets and let us go. I spoke to the prosecuter, representing both myself and my friend. She told us that bust was probably not legal and that if we took it to court, we'd win, but it'd cost a grand or so in legal fees. So, she offered us a monetary fine of around $250 (each), probation for one year, and then our records purged. No jail time, no community service, and after a year, nothing on our records either. I shoulda been a lawyer!

You should have just said "bring it on!"It only would cost you money if you HIRE a lawayer to represent you.Won't cost a DIME if you just make your own court appearances and defend yourself.Which is how I beat the rap when they tried to pin sales and distribution on me.I showed up for each court appearance and they kept postponing it.After the 3 or 4 appearance, the DA just dropped the case and I was free to go about my business.Never even had to open my mouth the entire time,all I had to do was show up on time and BE there.
All you accomplished by taking the DA's deal was to give those fuckers a full YEAR(the probation period) to catch your ass doing something else.And I assume the probation included some sort of DRUG testing also periodically during the probation period.
I would have countered her offer with "200.00 fine" PERIOD.No probation.

Naw, no drug testing or anything, paid the ticket and that was the last I ever heard from 'em. I thought about fighting it and representing myself, but the city where we got busted was a couple of hours from my home (each way), and it would have drained my time and money, and put extra wear and tear on the car, and all-in-all, I figured the $250 was just cheaper and easier than all that hassle. And a year later, my record was expunged. Considering how badly that *could* have gone, I was pretty happy with how it ended up. ;)
