Im in the process of trying to figure out how big I should build my grow box. The lighting I am going to be using to start off is x8 26watt CFL's, x4 T12 Fluorscent bulbs. Now the problem I am facing is just how big should I make this grow box? I was thinking 3ft in length, 4ft tall, and 2ft in width. Would this be to big for the lighting or to small? The T12's im using fit in a 2ft fluorscent strip, so I figured a extra foot in length could benfit box wise so the strip isnt so tightly fit in. Willing to listin to any imput or any ideas on the specs you guys think I should do with this lighting I have atm.

I think 4'w x 2'd x 6'h is the ideal size for a grow box. That's big enough to accomodate mistakes (especially over-vegging), and it's also big enough to put a 400 or 600-watt cooltubed light in there in the future, yet small enough to use flouros and CFLs effectively too until such time as you have better lighting.

Depends on what strains your growing, height of 4 foot might get a bit cramped but you could get away with it if your growing indica's or flower sativa's early. (at about 10")
