My old favorite was a German-made .22 short target rifle. That thing was retardedly accurate.
I used to compete at the NCAA division 1 level, back in college.

Any firearm I own is my favorite. I have a Springfield XD45, H&K USP 45, Beretta 96 FS, and a Kimber Ultra Compact II.
If I had to choose a favorite, it's a toss up between my Kimber and the H&K. The Kimber is nice compact officers 1911 with 7+1 capacity. When out and about, this is usually what I carry. The H&K is just a beast and the recoil is not much more than shooting a .40.

Yeah that thing is a beast. I held one at a gunshow a few weeks ago and I'm afraid if I fired that thing with one hand I'd jam or dislocate my wrist lol. I got a HK USP compact in .40, Beretta cx storm in .40 and a Ruger mini 14 Next I want the full size USP in .45

The recoil is actually less than a .44 mag due to the fact its 5 lbs, oh just saw the with "one hand" part. I wouldn't do that. I loosened my grip a little and it came up over my head, otherwise the muzzle jumps about 5" with a good grip.

Sigs are nice. I'm interested in the nerw Sig 556 also Beretta is supposed to be coming out with a semi .223 that looks interesting. I'm still partial to HK in the handgun department. I'd also like to get a Ruger revolver in .44 mag.their single action .44's are some of the most accurate pistols I've shot.

My favorite piece would be my Springer TRP in .45ACP. It's packin Wilson 8rd mags and a Surefire light. I load it mainly with Speer Lawman 200gr JHP, aka 'The Flying Ashtray' load. ;)
The XD-9 I bought my wife ain't too bad either, I prefer it to Glocks.
Next on the list is a 7mm Remington Mag. Dad just bought a big ranch in Oregon, I see elk hunting in the future. :D

I think so. I havnt had any malfunctions or feeding problems so far I've only put about 200 rounds through it though. I did alot of research and reading about it before I bought it. I wanted a semi auto .308 and for the price(roughly 1200 with the quad rail) I couldn't find anything better except a HK 91 wich was used and although in great shape is quite a investment at around 2500. I'm a fan of HK and I wish they still shipped the 91 and I think 93 rifles to the states. The DPMS panther AP4 was voted rifle of the year by American Rifleman wich is something and has proven to be extremely accurate even with the surplus ammo I use. I get 4 inch groups at 100 yards with South African surplus and 1 inch groups with Winchester 150 grain. All in all I really love the rifle and would highly recommend buying DPMS. I really like how compact the AP4 is. It has a m4 configuration with a 6 position collapsable stock and a 16 inch barrel. It's great if your looking for more power than .223, wich I was. I already have a mini 14 and wanted a semi with more power. Oh yeah it comes with two 20 round steel magazines a cleaning kit and that carrying case you see in the picture. The case is too narrow and you cant fit the rifle in it with any type of optics mounted.

Hey Gotuve if your looking for a .223 semi auto battlerifle i'd take a look at the new SIG556 or the new Baretta Rx4 storm. I'd look into those before I bought a AR style .223. That's just my opinion. Oh another .308 semi that is worth looking into is the FN FAL if you are interested in .308 I'd look into that aswell as they seem to be pretty reliable and relatively cheap compared to their counterparts.

as far as shotguns go, by far the Remington 870...the standard of the industry, used in Nam, and shit, i get more ducks than my dad and his Benelli Super Black Eagle II
as far as rifles go, im gunna go with the Winchester Super-Grade III in .270 WSM
and as far as a pistol....well, there is two pieces in question, one is Ruger Super Blackhawk, in .44 mag...the other one is the Thompson G2 Contender, chambered in .308....yeah, the rifle round
with that "pistol", i have hit nails from 300 yards, with a scope of course

I enjoy going to the shooting range once every two weeks, once a week if possible. I enjoy firing my glock 24c 40 S&W and just recently bought a Bushmaster XM15-E2S AR-15 thats a heavy barrel version with a 20-inch barrel and fixed carrying handle, haven't had a chance to try this one out, but i have used the ones at the shooting range and enjoyed the fuck outta it.

Falcon Raptor Lighthunter 12... my dream gun. Held one once, fitted me perfectly. Didnt have the cash for that, so I settled for a Air Arms TX200 HC. Dads got a Webley Longbow (Venom tuned :D ) and a Daystate X2. Both are beautiful to shoot.

That sucks big time. And i thought anything less than Texas gun laws sucked big time. I would not want to live in a country where you werent allowed to reasonably be able to own a firearm (at least i dont think i would want to):( :(

I'd never even held a gun until last year, much less fired one. However i lived in South Carolina for a few months last summer (05) and it seems like everyone down there has a firearm. I was out at my friend's house in the boondocks one day and he told me about his guns. The next thing I knew I was firing a Colt45 Magnum (?) I don't know anything about guns, but I'm assured this is the gun used in Dirty Harry. I really enjoyed firing this thing, I was almost hoping I'd have to use it on someone ... in fact I might have. Who knows what's buried out in those woods eh... : -)

Sorry Ig, but your friend is misinformed I think. The Dirty Harry gun is a SW .44 Magnum as far as I know...
There are 2 .45 caliber loads of note here in the States (well, 3 now thanks to Glock and their .45 GAP) Anyway, there is a .45 Colt, which is a serious load from the Wild West days, and there is the .45ACP used in 1911 pistols, of which many were made by Colt. Confused yet? ;)
.45ACP was made for dropping people, and doesn't have the velocity of either the .44Mag or .45 Colt. It is a big damn heavy bullet though. :D
Ruger actually makes compact revolvers in both .44 and .45 (and bigger) for fisherman on the left coast who frequent fishing holes in brown/grizzly country. Think I'd prefer a shotgun with slugs in it, or a semi-auto rifle, but they still sound pretty cool to me. Can't take hardware in State Parks, so a compact pistol with 5rds of potent .454Casull would be easier to hide on you than a Rem 870 shottie.
On a totally unrelated note, just heard my dad took a 400lb elk yesterday. He's been cutting steaks all day

Hey Blue Devil, I'm not too clued up on that so I might have the name wrong. But he knew his stuff and he told me it was a Dirty Harry gun, so whatever that is..that's what I was firing.
I'd ask the guy...but erm...he's erm...out of town for a while.
Yeah, that's it. He went away for a while, and he said he might not come back for a bit. I remember now...

Yep Dirty Harry had a .44 Mag, that what made it famous. By far not the top dog anymore but the price seems to have gone down since the entry of the .500 S&W.

You only go around once... I have a tendancy to save a little longer and buy things that are a bit better. They quit making the Model 12 a year or so ago.. this one had been sitting on the shelf for over a year and a half.... they knocked $100 off the price of the rifle. :D
The scope was exactly what I was looking for... I figure that if I can see it, I can hit it.
The new Savage is a nice addition to the gun cab, and fits real nice next to the 2 Remington 700ADLs(one is .243, the other is 30-06). All of my rifles are bolt except the Winchester '94 lever gun(.357mag), and the handy rifle(45/70 Govt)

Shootin Winchester Super X 150gr softpoint rounds. Because of the weight of the weapon...11lbs withour scope or bullets, and that 26 inch fluted bull barrel, there is almost zero recoil. The accu-trigger was 3lbs out of the box... I left it there.
