Does the grow medium in which i grow in reflect on the speed of growth or root growth? If so what is the fastest medium? Somebody make a chart to see which mediums are faster.
Can I grow a full plant in a 6" rockwool cube, it's not lowryder it should get up to 3-4'.

the medium really doesnt effect growth speed really, its the way your groign the pant, i.e w hat method of hydro? dwc, aeroponics ect.
as for staying is a rockwool cu bes yea you can but i dont suggest it, simple reason is y ou dont want light hitting the rockwool or going past the rockwool into the res. H ydrotron works great and is really cheap, it keeps the cube coverd from lights penitration, and also su pports teh platn when the roots gro throughout it

Grow hydroponic grow mediums do affect speed of growth, Botanicare who makes both hydroton clay pebbles and cocogro has this pic in their grow room of these two plants at 2 weeks of age, one in hydroton clay pebbles and one in cocogro and the one in cocogro is bigger! Thats not the only one though, go to botanicare.net and then to their grow room all the ones in cocogro are growing faster. I think we can officially say that cocogrow is a faster grow medium. I didn't say better so don't be like "oh claypebbles have blahblah better drainage blah." Peace.

I have used 3/8 crushed granite and hydrocorn.
Both got the same results but saved 8 hours in the cleaning of the buckets.
Now I think the crushed granite was easer to clean out the old solutions.
Now as far as the light geting to the plants you use thick black plast to cover the buckets, and or growing medium. :D :cursing:
