maybe those people you know might be able to. A tent is just a few poles and some material that make an enclosure separate from the outside world. If you use the room that you want to grow in for other activities besides growing you can construct a tent so that when the plants need to be in the dark, they are in the dark! That is the basic purpose. Or if you want to veg in a bloom room or vice versa

A grow tent such as the "Hydro Hut" seem to be very nice if it fitts your purpose. Things that are beneficial, 1. completely light proof, so no having to go to the store every other day to get something new to try to seal up the light leeks in your room or closet when you would rather be kicking back dreaming about all the big buds your trying to grow.
2. have all white reflective material all throughout inside so no hanging up flimsy wrinkly material that makes you want to punch a hole in the wall because it wont un wrinkle.
3, Water proof lining on the floors, with water tight seems, so when you kick over your 5 gallon bucket of water because your so mad that the light is still leaking in causing your plants to go hurmy, or your hydro pump go's berserk and floods, you wont have the down stairs neighbors calling the manager because your raining on their thanks giving dinner.
4. Pre made vent covers on top and bottom to put your inline and intake fan so you don't have to cut off a thumb trying to cut through dry wall with a steak knife to put vents in.
5. Heavy duty light hangers that will hold up a couple 1k hoods and not fall on your plants in week 4 of harvest crushing all your babies causing you to punch a hole in the wall, right threw the miler you took so much effort and time to hang up, hurting your hand that you cut the thumb off of, making you slip in the 5 gallon water spill causing you to fall into the ballast dripping wet starting an electrical fire.
Hope this helps some.

No, I do not, but I have researched them like most things that have to do with this hobby. I may run one in the future, a 4x8 with an 8 bucket hydro farm set up.

Thanks GK thems are those. Have you tried one GK? I am thinking about the 4x8 this winter if I can get the sister and law out of the extra room. The double c22 is taking up to much room in my little office. The XL hut has light hangers for 2 1k lights seems nice enough. I wonder how an eight bucket hydro farm set would work in one with 2K of Hortilux? I wonder if you could get 2 eight bucket hydro farm's in there giving you 16 buckets in a 32 approx square FT space, LOL. No, two 3x3 E&B tables would probably fit better, Hmm, Hmm so many choices.

Hi Blue bear..
I recently saw a tent... 4W x 7H x 8L
Inside was a vertical garden with 46 plants and 6- 600 watt HPS bulbs...
The plants grow towards the center...
IT seemed to be working.. I will re-visit this grow in November when "THEY" harvest .. I will include this garden in my next video..
cheers

Only problem with grow tents is the fucking door on the front, most being either attached with velcro, or zip, that goes down the middle. Seeing as were on the subject of grow boxes, I'd be interested to hear about any modifications people have made to theirs, because unless you fork out for an expensive tent, the door will probaly be flimsey plastic sheeting that dosen't seal properly.

I have a complaint -
I have used both the 3x3 and 4x8 hydrohut, and I find that they heat up quickly. For those of us who do not live in constantly below 60 degree temps, you will not be able to safely run the amount of lights you would like to.
I find a 600w digital is all the 3x3 hydrohut can handle and only 1 1000w light (preferably along a light rail) is all that the 4x8 can handle.

CAligrown, you must be mistaken or need to work on your ventilation. I use the 4' x4' Hydro Hut equipped with a 1000 HPS cooled by a 6" vortex. I see the temp rise only about 5 degrees farenheight. I keep the 1k hps no more than about 12 inches from the tops of the plant (usually 10-12 inches). That is not on a light rail. For these H.H., you must, (or probably should) run an air cooled hood. I plan on getting another one and putting 2 600w HPS in there. All you have to do is work out the vent.
I wish i have the capital to get one of those HH Delux (4x8). Then i'd be alright,
