my friend sells a little here and there (ironically, he doesn't smoke. go figure...) and he keeps saying that "Chronic" is weed laced with crack. I say that it's just the name of a really good strain/quality of weed that gets you madd stoned. Will you guys please help clear this up?

Chronic is weed laced with cocaine. IT has become a term for really good pot because of this. But it did originate from weed with cocaine sprinkled on it. So your friend is right apoligize and beg for forgivness!

Dude, it depends where you are from. Here in the South, Chronic is any high grade weed, like he said. A "dirty" is weed laced with cocaine down here.

East Coast, I heard that it's what they use for weed laced with cocaine.

But the truth is that Chronic is actually a real strain.

So yeah, it all depends where you are from.

It is weed laced with coke but in media all those rappers call their great bud chronic. so its both.

Then don't tell him it IS weed laced with coke.

I say again, where I'm from it's not like that.

It all depends.

West Coast: A high-grade Sativa strand of marijuana, very commonly used as a slang term for bomb weed.

East Coast: Marijuana that has been laced with cocaine.

Thank you.

Seems like the West Coast definition is the same as the South's.

Good to hear.

ive never heard of it being laced with coke. i know (and im a west coaster) that when we use the word chronic, its about dank fucking weed aka good shit. also to agree with couch potato its a strain of sativa bud that i heard was definitly worth getting your hands on. but hey....different regions...different termonology.

I first heard the term "chronic" back when a lot of you were still in diapers. Back then it referred to really good weed. That was in both California and Chicago. The first time I ever heard it referred to as weed with coke was only 5 or so years ago. So, my guess was that the original meaning was just really good weed.

Here in Northern California, 'Chronic' just refers to a really good strain. A joint/blunt laced with cocaine is called a chewie.
