i hope everyone can help me out here because most people on this site (i hope) has something to say about weed to their family or friends. anyways, my mother who will be 46 years old on sept 20th, being a brain tumor and breast cancer survivor she takes a LOT of drugs. she has winged off the drugs like prozac and xanax and her anti-seizure drugs and almost about everything except a few mostly being narcotic (dilaudid, darvocet, ibprofen 800) and stuff like asthma (advair) and breast cancer and an experiemental drug for alzheimers for memory. ANYWAYS i turned her on to trying medical pot because she used to smoke a lot with my dad way back in the day. she felt morally weird until we got it under legal wraps meaning we got her a recommendation from a doctor and now that she was legal she had no excuse.
i guess what im getting to is that she needs pain killers, anti seizure, insomia ridding, appetite giving, breast cancer fighting, asthma helping drugs, and in sum of all that i think cannabis can help with ALL of those. what i ask is how can i prove to my mother that pot is the way to go? we are tired of heavy narcotics and shots and hospital visits and no results. my mom cant take dilaudid anymore for her daily migraines because she breaks out in hives. someone help me...
thanks

I would believe that marijuana would help with some of the problems your mother is having. Including the appetite, maybe the insomnia depending on the type of marijuana, and some with the pain. Now for the anti seizure, breast cancer fighting, and asthma I am really not sure. But we know that marijuana is safer than many prescription drugs. Dilaudid being one of the major one's. I hope that you this helps you and your mother out. :)

Also, have you tried administering cannabis in different ways besides smoking to get results? Vaporizing and eating, as well as sublingual tinctures all can have varying effects on the system and may treat some of her conditions more appropriatley than just burning one up. This is especially useful if you find that the other cannabinoids aside from THC seem to be more affective for certain conditions/symptoms. You can always make a sublingual tincture with a higher CBD/CBN content when certain strains aren't always available, or if you are not able to grow your own. Also, look into vaporizers. Accuratley controling the temperature at which the herb is heated can control the ratio of CBD,CBN to THC.
There's information out there regarding the utilization of all the properties of cannabis, but for most it just takes some self experimentation. You can learn new things about controling your body you never thought possible.

well she has had tincture before and she doesnt like it because of the pure alcohol involved just burns her mouth i think. we have done the edibles and thats something she hasnt really done too much. she drinks a lot of tea and puts a lot of 420 hunny and other stuff of the sort. but the smoking she can do its just sometimes hard because of the asthma. at the same time i think if she were to stop smoking cigarretes all the time and then just focused on smoking pot ONLY shed have a better chance of smoking without problems. also we have looked into vaporization but many are really exspensive so we havent gotten that far. i emailed someone from a compasion collalition in my hometown to see if maybe getting her to some meetings with other patients like her that suffer daily chronic disease and have problems and i think she needs some external support. not to mention it wouldnt be to bad for her to make some friends. i think she deals with a lot of depression because of life issues such as that. thanks for the feedback. any more is appreciated.
