My ph is alittle low, how do I get the ph up?

I know from reading that I should add some lime to the soil. With out transplanting is there any way to add lime to the soil to bring the ph up.

Can I just add it to the water or put it directly on top of the soil and let it soak through?

How much lime should I add?

My ph is a little above 6.

add 2 tablespoons to your top soil and mix in a little bit and water it in and you will be fine

What is the pH in your irrigation water? My well water is slightly over 7 so the water alone would correct your problem. Since your pH is over 6, I just wanted to point out that if your water has a reasonably high pH, you woudn't need to add anything else.
