i was wondering if i should clean out my jars b4 puttin in the buds for curing, and if jus plain dish washing soap would b fine? i have 3 actual mason jars, kinda small, and a decently sized glass jar, that i believe was a pickle jar...cant really tell, there is no tellin how long these jars have been in the cuboard..my grandfather b keepin em n shit....i read that if u use a pickle jar u mite ruin the flavor of the bud, bud the jar doesnt seem to have a smell to it, atleast not a pickle smell, would it b ok 2 use that one too, if cleaned well? and is there a way to tell if the jars r air tight, b/c the lids r kinda...well im not really sure how to put it...the part u screw on seperates from the inside of the lid,(if u can picture what i mean)...wuold jus puttin some al. foil over the lid/and or jar b ok? thnx..
