I was wondering.... I have 4 females all of different sizes....

I just started giving them the 12/12 a few days ago after I noticed some hairs climbing out.

The smaller plants are starting to flower first and quicker than the bigger plants. My big 20" bushy plant is being slow to flower compared to the rest, but she is the biggest.

Do the bigger plants take longer to flower? And in general how long does it take for the full buds to develop from the thin green and white hairs?

No, all plants dont mature at the same time so just give the bigger ones more time.

It looks like they were slightly under nourished. I'm using those flower spikes that you stick into the soil and they were all used up. Guess I have hungry plants....

All strains have different flowering times. Depending on your strain and the size of your plant, the time it takes for them to fully bloom varies. If you see some plants are almost done, then take them out and let the other plants finish, it's as simple as that =).

You should know that in the flowering stage, the plants use up all of their energy and all of the nutriments left in the soil to produce the bud. You should have transplanted them into richer soil or added extra nutriments to help the plants flower. They will obviously be using up more nutriments because their "Dark period" has substancially increased from 18/6 to 12/12.

This so called "Dark period" is the period where the plant constructs and builds itself up by using nutriments and energy saved from the "Light period".

Cheers and best of luck!

P.S. Consider reading on proper nutrient additions for the flowering stage, to get the best out of your grow =D.
