I respect most of the advise here. If someone is off-base, mods aren't afraid to call them on it. My question is about early sexing. This link http://forum.grasscity.com/absolute-beginners/101130-sexing.html has pics and seems pretty good. What do you think? If really true it can save a lot of hassle.

what is your question? the pictures wont work for me, they say I need to be a member. plants naturally will show sex if you leave them in the veg cycle long enough. Some plants show sex sooner, some later. Most people flower before the plants show their sex (moving to a 12/12 light schedule). This forces the plant to show its sex. You will see sexual preflowers within 1-2 weeks. There are plenty of pictures distinguishing the 2. You will be able to tell if it is a male before the pollen sacks open if you check the plants everyday. If the pollen sacks do open...they will seed all of your females and youll have tons of seeds. The female plants have a teardrop shaped node with 2 white pistils emerging. Males have balls. Females only have 2 calyxs (the thing with the pistils comingout) per node on the plant (one on each side of the node). Male balls can come in 2s and 4s.
