Anyone ever used a "hydrohut" for growing. They have a 4x4x7'h unit that is perfect size for my needs. Also curious, do you expert cab grow folks thin k I can use a 4oo HPS cooltube w/ active intake and exhaust fans or will the heat be too much. The "hut" would be placed in a fairly cool room, temps about 75 degrees.
Btw, gotta say after reading so many posts, the cab growers are so effin ingenius! Keep up the good work!

400w light is actually a little too small for a 4'x4' area. You'd be better off with a 1000 watt light for that area or, even better, a couple of 600 watt lights. If you use a 400 watt light, the stuff at the edges of that 4' square won't get much light. You could still do it with a 400 watt light though; you just won't be able to utilize that entire area.

I have herd some good things about them. With the 4x4 units I have herd of people using 1k set upsfor the best light penetration. The hut is 16sqf and that is 800w at 50w per square ft. You could get a nice lumen output with 1k. Heat is always an issue with a 1k because like with any light you want to get with in 18 to 12 in IMO to get the best light penetration.
If you want to go with the 400w I would look at the smaller unit, the hydro hut mini.
