Smokin the Roach: (poll)

The roach is one of my favorite things to smoke, one because nobody else wants to hit it, and the weed is very potent from all the smoke passing over it. I am talking about both blunt and joint roaches.

Ways to hit it:
1. Pinch it with your fingernails or tips of fingers if you don't have nails (i dont). you may burn yourself but it's all good. can also do the one where you hold you middle finger and thumb in a circle and pinch the j that way. however you do it, your fingers will smell like a roach for the rest of the day!

2. Stick it in your lip and suck till your lips burn then spit it out.

3. Roach clips, or some other way to hold the roach.

4. Throw it in a bowl (pipe bubbler or bong) and smoke the paper and all.

5. Peel off the paper and put the sticky bud in the bowl. the weed will burn very slow so you can pass it if it's a blunt roach or just a lot of joint roaches.

6. Peel it out and stick it in another J!

7. put the mouthpiece of it down the hole in the bowl you are smoking, so there is a good flow and you can still smoke the joint without relighting it. this is also good if you are sick of people getting the j all wet which can be nasty if you are smoking with other guys. (this is what i picked because i use a cigarette looking one hitter. we usually stick the roach in the one hitter when it's only half way down because it will rip so fast and burn evenly.)

8. Roll the joint with a longer piece of cardboard or any other crutch (long enough to hold and smoke the weed after it. this way you can smoke all the weed. if you want to roll a big j using this method put 2 papers end to end to make it longer, the crutch will take up space. (i use this when im driving to school, so i can just throw the whole thing out the window when im done so i won't have any evidence on me if they do a drug search.

9. (have not tried myself) burn a small hole in the side of a water bottle then stick the roach it it. smoke it out of the mouth of the bottle.

Where i live, everyone uses a small piece of rolled up card which is what we call the roach.

I dont actully think ive ever seen anyone roll a joint without one (but i know its different in the US).

Not only does it allow you to smoke all the weed inside without burnt lips but it also gives the roller something sturdy and solid enough to wrap the paper over and start rolling the joint resulting in an almost perfect cone shaped joint every time.

What me and my smokin buddy do is save our blunt roaches up for a rainy day when we run out and cant get any buds......then we pack up some nasty harsh gravity bong hits with the roach guts and get stoned off our silly asses

Normally, i use a cardboard roach. but when i dont use a roach, i smoke it in the bowl. and i throw in the resiny paper only.

because i smoke js with some tobacco, i usually put a litle more tob before the roach, so i dont have to burn my lips. Or i use a long roach (most of the times) so i can have space to hold my j. Im not so crazy about roaches, i like to have big fleshy js and i usually toss the roaches if there's a hit or less left, im just not gonna burn my lips, im gonna roll another :D:D:D:D:D

If i'm smoking at my house or at a friends house we save them and roll them up again but if its somewhere public i just toss it.

Another option should be to save the roaches and make a "chocolate" blunt just take the bud from the roaches and roll it in a blunt or a j. The weed is so resiny and messes you up so quick.

I voted for grenading it (in a water bottle) which is also a great way to hit the roach. You just have to be skilled making the hole not to big and not to small. Oh yeah and don't forget to make a carb, so you can clear the smoke.

i just recently started rolling my joints with a piece of note card in the end and i don't think i'll ever roll one without it for the reasons stated.

if you wanna make the most out of a roach.. do what i do.. get an empty water bottle.. burn 2 holes in.. the first hole you burn should be about the size of the blunt.. the 2nd hole should be about an inch long an 1/4 inch wide.. put in the end of the blunt.. its just like hittin a bowl almost except you see how much u smoke when the smoke fills up the water bottle.. its cheap quick and easy.. try it sometime.. if you do it right i garauntee you wont be left dissapointed

Man, I do what Wil86 does. Then I get the weed out/off of the roach then put it in my bag with other "roached"/resin weed. When I get enough, it will all go into a bowl, or a nice joint.

im usually the last one hitting a blunt, call me cheap but i get high as hell from it. most of the time i hold it with my fingers, but when it gets to the point i cant hold it anymore i pull out some tweezers and inhale the smoke coming off the roach(i dont even put my lips on the roach). or if im without tweezers i pop it in a bowl.

I don't usually smoke a Joint without a bit of cardboard in the tip. I find I usually get weed in my mouth, which I'm not to fond of hehe. BUT, I am known to smoke without the cardboard, at that point I usually pinch with my fingers or lips, done the roach clip just to try it out, didn't care for it...We stopped and threw it away cause we found it to be in the way haha.

I've probably done every one of those things on that list...but then I just started leaving them pretty big and rolling them into another joint.

My grandmother used to put little cardboard "filters" on the ends, but she would roll them toothpick thin, too. I never really liked doing that until I went to Amsterdam. Now I do it more often. Sometimes its too much work.

Luckily I brought several packages of the pre-made ones back from Dam. It sure does reduce the amount you have to get your fingers dirty and smelly(bonus for us professionals). ;)

i hate the roach but i think that might be because i dont smoke ciggaretts. usually if theres like 3 pulls left on a j ill just let one of ma mates have it fuck going roaching looks trampy aswell(no offence to thoes who do like the roach). if anythink ill roll with a longer roach or just put backy at the end, the only time ill smoke roach is if ive rolled the j and i know there is loads of green at the bottom

I've put them in my bowl before, and tossed 'em in a gravity bong before, but I've been savin' them to make a generation joint, got 6 of 'em, should be enough to roll, I might get another roach or two before I roll it though. I don't smoke joints too often though, in fact I don't like to bother a lot, I love 'em, but its just easier to smoke something else. Plus, I hate when its gone, I feel limited to how much I smoke, I could roll super fat onese and smoke as much as I wan't, but I can't bring myself to not smoke a whole joint. I prefer bowls, cause you can pack another bowl faster than you can roll another joint, and rolling a second joint for yourself seems like a waste to me when I'm already high.

Most often when I'm smoking a joint I just pinch it as far as it goes and toss it or if there's enough I put it in a bowl. When I'm smoking a blunt I save the straw that the blunt is pre-rolled around and stick it at the end of the roach while it is still going and rip it. It hits great to, I would say it's as good as if not better then hitting the actual blunt.

Usually you don't put what you guys call roaches at the ends of blunts because there is no need with the two leaves of tobacco. (I call the end of the joint or blunt the roach)

I'm just asking this because for a long time when I was younger and smoking, I didn't know much about hash and I seriously thought that the rolled up resin ball that I made after scraping my pipe WAS hash! That is incorrect.

I'm not trying to assume that you are as naive as I was, but I've never heard of anyone throwing "smoked" cannabis into their hash-making stash. :confused:

I smoke those motherfuckers down until they're burning my fingers, then I just toss'em in the front yard. When it gets to the point where you need some hemostats or something to take a hit- it's time to let it go, brother.

Although it's always nice to have a reserve of roaches for those occasional dry spells.

my buddies save them like they are the holy grail...if i ever have any i normally give it to them instead of throwing them away, they save them all up and rip it in the bong normally they leave the paper on and it lets them burn longer
