I have posted this before, been awhile ... I have used two of these in my cabinet for about 6 months, they do NOT harm the plants in any way, I can vouch for that ... believe it or not, they WORK ! ... and, they work well ... only drawback, they do run hot, and since they are lights, they arent on during the dark hours, but you can always have another burning in the 'outer room' ... just a handy tip that may help someone out ... http://www.1000bulbs.com/product.php?product=9135 ...

Those bulbs also supposedly give off CO2 as a byproduct when they destroy the odoriferous compounds, so plants should love them.

Woah! If they kill odor and produce CO2 those have got to be pretty good for flowering

I cant wait to buy some of these, I've seen them for around 10$ anyone seen cheaper?

What an invention for growing it gives the plants light, it feeds them co2 and it kills their odor and they are trying to tell us they didn't design these for pot

The image reaper told me about these a couple of months ago and i went out and bought 3. i flowered 3 plants under them and i ended up getting 2 ounces a plant in a very small organic closet grow. For rating the bulbs i would say they are pretty good when left on for an hour or so the smell of raw marijuana goes almost completly away but as soon as the lights go off the smell creeps back into my room a little bit especially as i got towards the end of flowering but other then that they are worth buying at least one for your grow :)

Do you think a few of these supplimented with a 400 Watt High Pressure sodium would be good for a soil grow involving 6-10 plants?

thats just what i'm planning on doing. I plan to get 3 or 4 of em. They have a great spectrum 2700 kelvin. With the same output of a normal CFL (1600 lumens). I think they sound great.

plan to order today

One trick is to make sure that you've got airflow going over the light, this vastly improves their effectiveness.

Anyone know if you can get them in the UK?

so to the people who have used the cfls. How many didn’t you need per plant. Or how much did you harvest and how many lights did the trick. I plan to order some (4 probably) and want to know if it will be enough.
Thanks

Does anyone else think that 1600 lumens/plant seems kind of light?

I just ordered 3 today to give them a shot. The worst that can happen is I paid $33 for 3 light bulbs... I;l let you know how they work.

2500 - 3000 lumens per plant would be better

Well I've tested them for a couple weeks now and all I've found is that my plants still smell.... $30 for 3 cfl's.... a lesson learned, what's that about "a fool and his money....."

wow, that's flippin awesome... or you could just buy/make a carbon filter for the price of a few of those bulbs, it takes 0, count em', 0 dollars to run them, and they don't overheat or keep the room lit when you don't want it.... so, no offense but I'd rather not.

I never recommended these lights as 'grow-lights', simply as an additional bit of odor-neutralizing ... of course, they don't function as an odor-killer when OFF :wtf: ... one bulb works well for a small room, normal household deodorizer ... I have had two in my cabinet along with a 400-watt HPS, and low-odor plants, for a couple years now ... I have very little plant-odor at all ... they will NOT replace a carbon odor-absorber, I would think that would be obvious
