The Trouble with Being Older....

How does an older guy (50s) buy weed when he has no contacts? It seems like a matter of approaching a stranger on the street. Aside from the obvious risks of being ripped off and/or hurt, who the hell trusts a guy that age? And where would one go even if that was the only solution?

Any suggestions or tips? I could really use some.

Do you have any younger friends? If you do, perhaps you could get them to pick up for you. I understand your plea, however. Also, if the dealer is cool, try and explain to him that cops can't try to buy or sell without saying that they are cops - it's called entrapment. (I'm not sure if that applies everywhere, but saying it might make him trust you more.)

You can order seeds online. You get like 10-20 for ~$20-40 bucks, just find a site that's trusted around here, that way you also can choose your strain :thumbsup: They mostly come from Amsterdam, UK, Netherlands area and come in a CD case or something..

ok, im in canada, and have done this a couple times, usually works pretty well. Find a mc donalds or KFC or taco bell or some other low end fast food chain, find the teenager behind the cash(this works better when its late, and theres no one behind you in line etc.), and ask them calmly if they know where you could find some bud. chances are at LEAST one employee, will have.

just bring up pot in a conversation with someone who you think might smoke. if they're wearing a bob marley shirt or something obvious, or look stoned... or are smoking weed, you should ask them if they could hook it up. definately sound like you know what you're doing though--if you let someone know you dont know shit about drugs then they will probably try to rip you off..

if you're in any larger city, try walking through some parks. chances are you might be asked to buy some weed. ask to see what you're buying before you give the money.

ps--if you wanna grow some pot, go to google.com and search for "marijuana seeds" and see if you find anything. if the website looks shitty, it's most likely a scammer's poorly-designed website. make sure you are getting the seeds from a reliable source.

As an older guy (40) I can relate. My best advice is to take a class at your local community college. You'll be surprised at how much good shit these kids have access to!

Hey Johnny, know what your talking about. Used to be that the kids had better weed than this ol' man. Couldn't find crap either, after all, being this age we must be the man, right? Check out the grow forums, learn, invest, and just do it! You'll save money, headaches, and you'll have a never ending stash that would make the younger ones drool on themselves.

You need to widen your social circle to increase your chances of hooking up with a fellow stoner. Check out your local head shops and try to strike up a friendly conversation with people. You can also try hanging out at a new age book store. A lot of stoners are also into Wicca and Paganism and I've hooked up with some tokers hanging around the reading room in our local shop.
