I woke up early this morning after smoking last night for about an hour (then got caught but thats another story) anyway so i need to go to portsmouth which is about a 2 hours drive away. I jump in the car and start drivin but st8 away notice my chest feels uncomfortably tight. i tell myself its ok will pass in a min but never did. The whole day i have this tight chest feeling where i feel edgy and the need to move slightly to ease the tightness (if you get what i mean) figity. Anyway its 21.50 now and ive stil got this tight feeling. Its got slightly better... slightly
Any ideas?

Moka, do you have a history of heart disease in your family? If you do, it might be worth a visit to the doctor to check on that chest tightness. Sometimes people's chests feel tight when they have anxiety, it's true. And chest tightness can also result from smoking or pulmonary irritation, asthma attacks--that sort of thing. But angina, or heart-related pain, can feel different ways in different people, and not only middle-aged people get it, either.
Please be careful and consider a trip to the doctor. It's probably worth mentioning here that the number one symptom/indicator of cardiovascular disease is, unfortunately, sudden death. Chest pain is generally down lower on the list, but it's an important symptom and not one to be taken lightly.

Ive had this problem before man, it was really wierd. It didnt really hurt but it was like i could only inhale half of what i normally do, i told my friends about it and jokingly they said to smoke some dank and itll go away... well i smoked the dank alright, but still had the problem.
it went away in a day or 2 though, so if you are experiencing what happened to me, youll be fine in a day or so

I've been getting the same thing-chest feels tight, can't breathe as deeply as I could. I've had it for a few days and I asked my mother what I should do about it and she said it's probably caused by anemia (which is her answer to everything) but regardless, I'm going to take multivitamins with iron in for few days, and also go to the doctors tomorrow.
I'd suggest you go to the doctors as well, if it doesn't subside.

you can mark me off as another case of this. I tried to explain in a lot of ways to myself; too many push-ups, too much caffeine, too much potsmoking. I had a coffee then 2 -12 oz cokes later. my heart was beating real fast plus I was worried that it might be something serious, so that made me freak out a little then I looked in the mirror and my face was pale . I realized at the very least I needed to chill out. So I sat and breathed deeply and normally and took my mind off it and I went back to normal. I happen to have heart disease in my fam so I was trippin'. I saw a doc 2 months ago; he didn't see anything serious

hey, try boiling your kettle and breathing in the steam, thats wot i do to help my lungs, they do it for newborn babies, i recommend takin ibuprofen for lung aches as it seems to lower your awareness of pain.... ...i wonder why...

Hahah I'm really glad to hear it was just temporary pain. I was actually about to come in here and ask for you to inform us when the pain had totally gone away. I really care about the health of the fellow marijuana users :).
