Ok.. this may be a long story so I apologize.

So I get done playing WoW at like 1am and come downstairs to see if any of my friends are out there. Lo and Behold, a few of them are sitting outside of my building smoking cigs. So we're talking, and the conversation turns to weed. But nobody has any. Except this one guy named Tim. Tim is on probation. So we want to smoke it.

So we go up to this girl's room and we start smoking. We get a knock on the door. It's the girl's RA. We start spraying smelly shit just trying to get rid of the smell (even though it's probably too late by this point anyways.). So we open the door, and she walks in. She starts sniffing, and she's like, "Have you guys been smoking?" And we're like, "Yeah." So she's like, "Smoking what?" "Marijuana" someone answers. So she's like, "Alright.. where is it?" We reach into the desk and give it to her.

She's like "Ok.. Let me see your ID's." So we all give her our school ID's. She says, "I have to call the Hall Director on call." She picks up her phone, calls him, tells him what's up. He calls the cops on his way over. We're waiting for the cops to get here.

They arrive, and they're like "Ok.. who's been smoking?" I'm just like "Fuck it" at this point, so I go ahead and fess up to it. So does the girl who's room it was. Everyone else in the room was smoking too, about 7 people in all. They're like, "Alright.. who does the marijuana belong to?" Basically, they were trying to get the guy Tim to fess up, even though I'm sure that he didn't want to because he was already on probation. So the cop says,"Look.. if nobody fesses up to it I'll have to take you all to jail. If one person fesses up, then I just take that one person to jail." I want him to fess up, because the thought of spending another night in jail is very unappealing. So I just say, looking at the ceiling, "Look, you might as well just fess up because if you think about it, you're going to be going to jail anyways, so you might as well just fess up to it and save your friends." So Tim stands up and is like "It's mine."

So, to make a long story short, this one guy took the rap, and everyone else basically got to walk clean. (we still have to have sanctions from Housing, etc.)

Am I a terrible person for trying to get this person to take the rap? Because I know that I just feel fucking sick because of it, but what could I have done? Honestly? I feel really bad about it.

No.. but... you would've probably helped Tim an assload if you had fessed up...considering he was already on probation.... that's why i say Tim is your new best friend because he's going to need the support of his friends..his friends.. now being the ones that were there.. because they all like you say.. walked away free...

I understand your feeling shitty.. but in reality it was Tim's weed.. Tim knew what he was doing. He was being a cool guy by smokin people out. Had Tim not been there... it's possible that non this would've happen.. yea... so it really goes both ways...
All i can tell ya is Tim will need friends in the coming weeks.

First i stpoed smoking in my dorms cause i relised how unsafe it can be.

Second i think yall all got lucky but tim, but hes a great guy to fessing up even if you did have to kinda nudge him to do it, dont feel bad, tims on probation he knows the consequinces of being cought if he dident want the risk he would have stoped smokeing. If hes in jale for a while go viset him or write him or somehting see if ytou can give commensery money for him.

I took the rap like that once, ended up going to juvenile detention for it. I was living at a group home with like 20 other kids, temporary placement while they tried to find me a foster home.

Anyway, I ended up paying for two cases of beer, six bottles of wine, and an ounce of pot, to add to our enjoyment of life. So we were getting plotzed on booze and toking it up all over this huge house that was the group home, and eventually the guys in charge caught on and busted us. They piled all the empty and full bottles of booze on the floor, joints, pipes, papers, and what was left of the ounce.

Then they said, "Whose is this?" It was dead silent, nobody said anything. So they said, if no one owns up, you're ALL going to juvenile detention. And it didn't look like anyone else was gonna say anything, so either way, I was going to juvie. So I stood up and said, "It's all mine. That empty case of beer? I drank all that. The four empty bottles of wine? I drank that too. All that pot? It was just for me, I wasn't gonna share it with anyone." This provoked a few snickers from some of the still-stoned kids. But sure enough, an hour later and I was in juvie taking a de-lousing shower, and everyone else went totally free.

Man, I felt like a hero! And it worked out okay, because while I sat in juvie for the next few months, I was collecting Social Security (because my mom died when I was 12, and I was her only dependent). Getting paid a couple hundred bucks a month for hanging out and playing Spades all day every day wasn't all that bad, really.

what did you forget to towle the door and fan the window? we smoked in a room right across from are RA (it was my room) and he never said a word. of corse he was a cool guy and dident give a shit his policy was "do what you want just dont cause truble and when its quiet hours turn the volume down." so only the drunks im my quad got in truble.

Yeah, we put the towel under the door and we blew out of the window, normally we can smoke in our rooms fine, I did it all time time without a problem (not like it matters anyways.. my RA was literally like, "I don't fucking care as long as you're not smoking while you're walking down the hall.")

I think it was just really dank stuff that stank more than we expected.

aw man i dont know what i woulda done in that situation. i probably wouldnt have said anything though. or i might take the blame for it, but look at it this way you werent the only one who could have taken the blame the other people could have fessed up to it or whatever. i wouldnt trip cuz tha weed really was his so no one should really have to take the blame for anything.

That's your problem right there, you should have said you simpy burned incense earlier. Also, it was the girls place not yours. Why didn't you just bail when she said the cops were coming?
