I recently joined MySpace and I must say that I find it is creating conflicting emotions - On the one hand I feel that it has enormous narcissistic elements about it -Just read those bloody self-indulgent profiles -Im sure the users read their own profile more than anybody elses.
Then you get constantly bombarded with requests for adds from very ordinary musical groups/bands and links to porn websites -
However once I start messing around on it, I cant get off.

I have a MySpace page.

I've never set it up or checked it.

That's what I think of it.

I have a myspace page. My wife set it up and checks it for me to see if anyone I went to school with finds me. I don't care for it, but it has been hanfy to find people I haven't seen in years.

If you do, I would *highly* recommend NOT posting the URL of it here

The feds do watch forums like ours. If they begin cracking down on marijuana usage, they could easily use your myspace page to track down your location.

I've got my thoughts about getting in touch with people I haven't seen in years. There is always a good reason why I haven't seen them in years.

Ya, myspace.com/blackjack90

i would probably erase that unless you have no Person information on the site. or if they don't make Myspace give them your IP for "Federal" reasons. then i guess you have "nothing" to worry about.

Meh, I'm not worried. If the FBI really wants to raid my house or come knockin on my door even though I know my rights I'll let them in JUST so they can search the whole fuckin house and not find one fuckin thing and make them look like idiots :).

I recently signed up for MySpace too. I don't care if the feds can track me down. Go ahead, DEA agent, click the link. Oh, and good luck arresting every pot smoker on the Internet!

P.S. On a completely unrelated note, here is a cartoon about Bush and Cheney signing up for MySpace.

Myspace is a joke. No offensive to people who "love" it, but i supose each to their own.

It's full of self praising dickheads who think they're King Of Myspace.

i liked myspace until EVERYBODY and their mother got on, now it's not really a community, it's just... everybody, so whats the point? Of course I still browse and look at girls pics though...

Paranoid people are rarely rational. Do you honestly think they have the time or funds to dispatch an anti-cannabis internet force, could possibly get a warrant based on that, and would even care enough to go through the motions when they could just cruise the streets for a while to bust a guy. You need to chill out majorly

i know, literally

peoples moms even have myspace

pretty fuckin funny

I miss it when no one really had one, when it was just an alternative to xanga, when it was just music and profiles, nothing too snazzy

I honestly didn't like it. For one, there was way too much drama for me to handle (maybe some of them need to smoke some weed lol). Second, it only let me put up to four songs on the page as well as kept messing up when I tried to upload. Oh well, I can put a website up on the college's web server come my senior year since I'm a computer science major. Maybe I'll have a music page up or somethin there.
