males show earlier than females, make sure you cut them down as soon as you know.

In the UK you should be seeing female flower formation by now. The males should be in full bloom, shedding lots of pollen. You really need to harvest by early October, to avoid frost and heavy rain. If your girls are not developing, then you have a strain which finishes too late for your geographical position.
