How much space does a plant need?

For example, how many plants can be grown in a space 3ft x 2ft, if being grown for a total of 2 months (1 week veg/7 weeks flower)?

Thanks

Um ... growing for one week in veg is simply a bad idea.

In a space ogf 3ft by 2ft you would get 4 plants in no prob if you are only vegging for a week .You can look up one of mobays threads in which he done a plant from seed with only 1 week veg .I think that he yeilded aboyut 33 gram from a white russian,If you find that thread then you will see the space that a plant vegged for a week will take but imo you would get 4 easy in that space. be safe the postman.

i would veg out 3 plants for 3 weeks not including seedling stage so one month from planting it these were vegged for 4 weeks so 5 weeks in you included the seedling stage and they are huge now one week into flower

you have 6 sq. ft. the rule of thumb is 1 plant per sq. foot so 6 plants to finish with. You can start with more but you wanna flower just 6.

and, It would be even better if you grew onjly 2 in that space...
2 ways to look at it.
a). if you put 4, then you sacrifice bottom budding to grow to full potential.
b) put 2 and they will fill out more, thus yielding more and you will probably yield as much as you would cramming 4 plants in there peace

like I said, 1 plant per sq. foot in the rule of thumb...

You shouldn't really veg for one week but what the fuck, it wouldn't not work, if you can get clones then you would do much better, seeds need a little longer to get established.

like I said, 1 plant per sq. foot in the rule of thumb...actually 18s" is better than cramming in 1sf.

I would especially consider height - floor space is all nice and easy, but the plant plus lights needs height. I constructed my cab with 6 feet, and wish I had done 7.

good point pinkchick...and tekneeqs; If oyu are growing from clones you can get maybe another 1-2 plants in that space.

Remember 2x3' with walls is alot smaller space than a room with a footprint of 2x3' in the middle of the room that allows the plants to bush out and light penetration air-flow is not as much of the concern. With the walls...It is gonna get tight, and the bottoms of your plants will become more susceptable to pests, disease, and immature Buds. Hope this info helps you along.
