How do you pronounce pwn? personally i pronounce it 'own' because it is from the misspelling of own, so I'm guessing that's how you should say it.
It kinda gets on my nerves when people say "pone them" and whatnot. Damn.

It's pronounced "poon", hence the AIM screenname I used to have: pwnedtang

Yeah, but if the word 'pwn' comes from a misspelling of 'own', Then shouldn't you say it the same seeing as they both mean the same thing?

No, "pwn" and "own" are two separate words. Besides having a P instead of an O, the meaning of "pwn" is narrower. You can't say "Right now I pwn two cars" or "To each his pwn".

I use it like "Pone" or "Pown".. you know, Own but with a P?

I though pwn was adopted from the popular typo of pwn vs own when gamers would try to type quickly with one hand during a game. Much the same way that teh is used on purpose these days.

Seeing as it's not a word, I don't have to pronounce it at all. Not sure why people try so hard to appear as if they can't type or can't spell, but it's all cool, as it makes me look smarter in comparison. Purposely appearing ignorant by using misspelled words is the verbal equivalent of decent-looking people coating their faces in shit to make them appear less attractive. If that's your thing, more power to ya!

I used to pronounce it "pun", as in Punjabi, but then all my friends started saying pone so I just joined in.
