Put in dark for last 2 weeks

Should I put my plants in the dark for the last 2 weeks. My bro said that I should and it would make the bud have more crystals. Just wandering what everyone else thinks.

Nope. Not necessary. Flush the plants 2 weeks before harvest, and let the soil dry out completely about 2 days before harvest.
