I've been reading about SOG and its easy to do of course. But all the information that i have been reading doesn't tell about the quality of the bud. They only explain how to do it and what is SOG.

My question is, will the bud of the SOG method that is veg for 1-2 weeks result in the same quality (not quantity) of lets say a plant that was veg for 2 months?

They would be under the same enviroment of course and are clones. I was wondering about this due to maturity. I'm not sure if the more mature a plant is the more potent it will become.

enviroment for SOG would have:
space is 500 cubic feet
2x1000wtts (465 cfm exhaust heat)
intake air (170 cfm)/ exhaust air w/ carbon filter (500 cfm)
temp 78-85
maybe CO2 tank. (not sure yet)
2x oscillating fan 16"
nutes: I might stick with fox farm or go for dutch master advance (not sure)
soil: might use FFOF or FF potting soil. tray would be 6-10 inch deep.

enviroment for regular plant would have the same thing but without anything that is used for SOG methood (example: the tray)

Yes, it will be the same if you havrvest them at the same time. One reason people take clones is because the clone is already mature and you don't have to waste a lot of time Vegging it...

As long as the environment is good, then the quality will be the same...just not as much of it. Remember, you wont be getting huge gigantic colas since the plants wont be big enough to support them, but it should work just as well.

Plant quality grown from seed is dependent upon its age. A 5 month old plant will be better in potency than a 3 month plant. Now, this is not true for clones because they are genetically as old as the mother plant they were taken from. A effective SOG garden takes advantage of training, usually in the form of LST. It also could use topping and pinching to great effect. Another thing, you need to have enough light upon the plant for it to effectively utilize the extra CO2 you might be using. Not all plants are good for SOG either. Good plants for SOG are ones that, when flowering, devote most of their energy into their main top branches and particularly the colas. Hope any of this helps.

thanks for the input guys. I'm planning this for the next grow. I'm probably not going to use LST, topping, or training on SOG. I'm just going to veg for 2 weeks and flower the rest. I'm sure i can replicate tranabole's grow. So far i'm replicating JustaSeed grow (turning out very well). I'm probably going to get started on those beans now.

thanks in advance.

yep, SOG will have same quality, less quantity. you should try the SOG method, if you have alot plants, you get good harvest.

i'm not sure, but i think sog will have lots of quantity with 2x1000 watts light. I might consider 3x1000 watts but i'm so paranoid of electric company.
