Hi
Im new to growing and my plants are nearly ready to harvest. I know that harvesting at different times gives a different kind of high but is there a good time to harvest which is better for pain relief. I have a neck injury which causes really bad upper back pain. Im not wanting to get high as I would like to be able to reduce the back pain without been too high to be able to work n stuff. (If I wanted to get high I can just take my prescription painkillers).

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. I am planning on using the cannabis in cooking as I dont smoke (dont know if this makes a difference);)

Well get something to look at the trichroms such as a 30x magnifineglass. When there is 50 % amber rather than white that be a nice time to pick it. Even if it is to strong just consume less. Aint the high what takes your mind off the pain rather than takeing away the pain? If cannabis took away the pain Every one would be useing it. And for eating cannabis the high last longer but not as strong. But then agian it all depends person to person.

The more amber trichomes your bud has, the more couchlock it is...

Bud has serious, and very real, physiological effects in reducing pain, one of those effects being anti-inflamatory. It definately, without any doubt, physically reduces/eliminates pain.

as stated previously, harvest when you have a good mix of amber trichomes in there ... as the THC degrades, the trichomes go from cloudy, to amber-colored ... this is the result of the THC breaking down, and turning into CBDs ... CBDs are credited as being strong anti-inflammatories, and give pain relief ... usually, a 'couchlock' effect will accompany that, however ... :smokin:
