My wife and I were discussing this a while ago. She said something like "They're just part of England" and I said that I didn't think many Scots would feel the same way. I know Scotland is technically part of the UK but I've always thought it was distinct from England. At least from a socio-cultural perpective.
So, your the Scot (is that the correct term?) what do you say?

Scot , yes is the correct termanoligy.:)
Ive lived in it for 42 years and iam not that sure:D
Personaly its a nation to me , but across the World i think people view it as part of eNGLAND:p

I've always look at them as a seperate nation.
