just a quick question im in my first week of flowering and it seems that my bottom fan leaves are drying out the rest of the plants are a picture of health its just the bottom fan leaves is this normal and wat should i do if anything ???????

If it's only the lowest pair, don't worry too much. Old leaves naturally die off as they aren't making any sugars for the plant if they're in the dark. Usually they turn yellow first, but just make sure the rest of the plant looks healthy, that the dieoff doesn't spread up the plant before about week 6, and that your fertilizer schedule is good.

most people cut weak bottom branches off so more energy goes into the buds

I don't cut anything off throughout the grow. One week into flower is quite soon in the bloom cycle for fan leaves to be dying. I'd say there is a subtle nutrient deficiency. Are the leaves changing colour (yellow) and drying up/shrivelling? Sounds a little soon IMO, anyone else?
