I am trying to germinate 5 seeds,
i had them in a glass of water for about 12 hours and then put them in a damp clean cloth (not socking wet just damp), they have been in the cloth for 4 days(only checked them now) and still nothing, they got a bit darker alright,
can anyone help me out thanks, much appreciated

Well DonSmokin,
Everybody has a preference. Mine is a glass of water and time. 12 hours you say? Try 48 to 72 you may be surprised.

yeah, i put mine in water until i see the seed crack, or the end of a root coming out.. ( little white tail )
then drop into your grow medium, root downward..
works pretty good!!

I dunno if they rot in water, but I just put them in some nice well-draining soil and they usually sprout. Just get some nice organic potting soil like Ocean Forest and put the seeds just under the surface in a warm (not hot) place, and make sure the soil stays well watered and very moist.

I recommend putting them in gasoline and lighting yourself on fire. try that!

You can do it about a hundred different ways. But I just put them straight into the soil and wait for them to pop up. They always pop up.
I do fertilize the soil with Viagra powder before planting them though.

What I did for germinating my seeds (as recommended by two different seed stores) was put them in a shot glass of room temp distilled water with a bit of paper towel to weigh them down (keep them under water), then put them in a warm dark place (like the cupboard above a hot water heater or fridge). Try not to disturb them for 48 hours. Ours germinated in those two days, with the exception of one, which germinated in 8 days. It's normal for seeds to take that long, or even a couple days longer than that, to germinate. Hope that helps!
ps: our seeds didn't rot...

i put mine in a glass of water over night in the dark i dont leave them in for longer than 12 hours
i find usually as long as the seeds have sunk to the bottom or if you tap them and the sink this will do
works perfect for me

i use the paper towel method myself, works very well as long as you dont over-saturate or let it dry out.
ive had seeds take as long to sprout as seven days.
The indian skunk i got growing now took two weeks to sprout, the other 3 seeds obviously wernt viable so after 2 weeks i gave up with them. At least i got one plant, just hope it's a damn female.
Paper towl or straight in the soil. There are so many ways, each to theor own,

If it's not a female, at least you will have plenty of seeds to start over

I put my seeds in a paper cup and put plastic wrap over the top of the cup and all my seeds sprouted in a day or so.

I always germinate in rockwool and they have all sprouted so far rockwool is easy to use soak in nutrients at 10-12 and (ph 5.5) then squeeze about 70-80 percent of the water out to allow air into the cube put in the propagator. As soon as you see the surface break put under your lights.
Always work for me.

Yes, that's correct. If there are seeds in the bags you buy it means that it was a male plant or a female that went hermie. Hermie means that it was a female but then started putting out seeds due to stress or something. A well maintained female should not have a single seed in the entire plant. It's always a good sign if you don't see any seeds in the bag.
Yes, bagseed will give you some KILLER weed. Better than the stuff you get on the street. If you grow the seeds (plants) properly that is. The bagseeds I grew were MUCH better than the bag it came from

Boys i herd in a good video that if you expose seedlings to 12/12 lighting 80% of them will turn out female, it says most people don't know this but i have yet to try it
