i got my set up in a closet and i get the odd little midge in the closet. Theyre hard buggers to try and catch in ur hand cos theyre so bloody small. Will they effect my crop in any way, and anyone know a way to get rid of them, fort about insect repellent but dont wanna infect my crop.

ahhh bobby man the dreded midge fuckin hate them , up ma part aye the country they live in swarms. try hanging some sticky tape like duct tape in your closet and the wee twats will stick to that the smell of the tape attracts them . the postman.

Over on this side of the pond midges are those little biting shits that live anywhere you want to go on holiday.
Flying plant pests would be something like thrips or greenhouse whiteflies.
You can catch either on yellow sticky traps.
And you can kill them by sprinkling diatomaceous earth on the surface of the soil, where they have their nasty bug-sex.
