I don't have too many friends at all. My friends come to my house and smoke..etc, but the people that I just go to school with and know are the people that I hang out with and party with on the weekends. Not too many people my age here smoke, and I don't want to hang out with someone who doesn't smoke and enjoy doing some of the same things that I do.

Some people grow out of it, some people don't, people change, others don't.
All of my old friends still live like they're 18. Getting into senseless trouble, doing any drug they can find, and drink their entire paycheques away. Their life consists of work all week, drink after work, get drunk Friday night, Sat. night, drink all day Sunday, pass out early Sunday night to recover, Monday, starts all over again.
I grew out of that lifestyle and changed for the better and now I don't see the much. I have friends, but not everyday friends who I see daily. It's my choice not to have a lot people always hanging around. I'm a private person who can accomplish more with my own mind, and 2 hands. When I'm with friends, I goof off and do jack shit.
Cannabis makes you whatever you want to be. If you want friends, then you go out and get them, me on the other hand, had friends, who were never really my friends, so I choose not to even bother with meeting a lot of new people. That's just me. I'm happier not having a bunch of people around, all the time. Not that I hate people, I just like my time to myself.
I'm at work all day, talking to people, so last thing I wan to do after 9hrs of that is come home talk some more. I want to be alone and contemplate the day, and the days to come.
Call me a loser, I don't care, because I'll just keep on losering it up!

I read somewhere that the average person has like two close friends, and that generally people just don't have time for more than three. I have about four friends, all of which I have known 15 years or longer, but I only see one regularly, one less often, and the other two rarely (they don't live in the same state anymore). We try to meet up once a year or so for a hippy festival or something, and we keep in touch with email and stuff.
My definition of 'friend' might not be the same as someone else's, of course. Everyone probably defines it differently. I count as friends the people that, if I got desperate and asked them for a few thousand bucks or a kidney or a place to stay for six months, they'd help me out, and vice versa.
