long and thin

hey folks just startin to grow and i need some advice from all the experienced growers.right the problem is my last grow was pretty shit the grew long and thin and although they were strong, they were not very fat or juicy :( .
So any advice on how to rectify this problem would be greatly appreciated and the person would be in my good books for life .later dudes and happy growin.:rasta:

Did you use CFL?

If you did try upgrading to HID lighting.

hps for flowering
(make sure u have enough wattage on ur plants)
also try out some nuts

how close was the light? Did you have good airflow and ventilation between the plants? Larger the light and closer it is, the better spaced your nodes will be :D And in turn...larger fatter nugs. Did you use any nutrients?

also you can try putting in a revolving fan pointing at your plants this will act as an artificial wind and will help beef up your stems and make it easier for nutes to be absorbed..
