well, first grow and a few problems but no idea what to do to solve em.

Background- about 3 weeks in, 2 150 soft white cfl's, one 100w day light. have been watering once every 2 days, have miracle grow soil.

has been 24 hour light, but just cut down to 20/4. I dont know much about this kind of stuff so please be gentle on me.

also, i dont check pH level but will soon and about to change pots and add soil.

I can only see the plant bout every 3, 4 days but have someone else takign care of it, and doing what i tell him to do.

alright lets get them out of the soil, what you have is a deficiency in nitrogen or its overferted i believe MG soil has added nutes so its possibly the soil causing your problem and you need to test your PH its a must or your plant is doomed.

do not water is more than 3-5 days after you already watered it you will drown it, give it a good quart or so of water and leave them be for 3 days

go to a garden center and ask them for a PH tester and nitrogen in liquid form and soil that is organic with nothing added to it.

as for the plant it may be best to start over with your new stuff and learn from this one that just my opinion

I say, as I always say, finish out the plant. See what you get! Maybe it'll be fine once rescued, maybe it'll just die, maybe it'll be a stressed out male. That's beside the point. You should finish the grow and see what comes.

sulfur and lime if no one has told you yet is the two things you need
to adjust your Ph levels. To raise add lime to lower add sulfur. You can
find those at any garden center.

ur plants looks kinda stretch put the light closer or add more lights...
also those lights and tin foil maybe raising the heat to much, tin foil is famous for creating hot spots and burning holes in the plant...get a thermometer and keep the temp around 75

ya the yellowing i think is from nut burn but it looks like only the older leaves were effected, probally it was to young for the nuts in the soil...but it lived and the top is looking good so id just keep it how u got it

The light-yellowing of the bottom leaves is definatly a nitrogen deficency, so add a fert with high nitrogen in it.
RE-POT NOW into new soil, MIRICLE GRO just causes alot of unneeded bullshit with fert burn, etc.

look mate dont add nothin get it out that soil first. ! get a 3 gallon pot . go to your nearesty home depot and get some soil with a ph of about 6.5/6.8 . when you take it out the pot with that shit .M.G soil very gently hold the stem and slap around the side of that shit soil till most of it falls away.the root mass on that plant aint going to be bad beleave me i done this for a freind last year.Once you have shakin off most of that shit soil then transplant it into a 3 gallon pot and fush it through . Then give it some nutes starting of with a low dose building up to the stated dose high in nitrogen but not to low in p,k. like canna terra vega, some superthrive and cal mag = and then watch your baby grow . then it will be fine and this should be led an example of what damage that mg soil can do.Garden i dont know how you do it my freind you are a genious.( he has used mg with great results lol). hope this helps the postman

I am going to reiterate a point real fast. RE-POT. The first plant looks like it has some burn damage, could be salt build up, and the second looks like it is suffering from a N defecency. MG is a good soil to use but it does need some additives. The plant food is ok as well just use in quater strength. I used 1/4 tsp. per gallon to start and then very gradually increased. People bash MG because most don't know how to properly use it. It is a powerful fert. that needs to be gradually induced to a plant. You also usually don't need to use ferts for the first month or two. The plant can usually live off the nutes in the soil so don't fert it during the first month.
